Writing The Proposal

[PMJ]

The following is an acrostic (the first word/letter of every line spells out a word or phrase - in this case, it's the first letter) as well as an English sonnet. It doesn't specifically follow iambic pentameter (thank GOD) but each line does have ten syllables in it, so that counts for something, right?

Total time it took me... probably a couple hours. Didn't try tooooooooo hard but I really do hate the letter O.

If you find yourself disagreeing with the premise of this poem, you are wrong. There can be only one.

The Proposal

A trainer of water, orange hair flowing,
Always makes my heart rapidly flutter.
Nights together, relationship growing
Dreaming of you, my heart melts like butter.

My feelings will be kept secret no more
Finally I'll make them all known to you.
O radiant beauty, whom I adore
Request your hand to start a life anew.

Let no Rocket interfere with true love
In no way will my words be silenced now.
Fair Misty, I swear by the gods above
Evil men won't harm you; this I avow.

You must tell me yes, or my heart will crash.
Oh please, be mine for life. Yours always, Ash.

Overall, this was amazing! I liked the mood, it was really pleasant. There's nothing I'd really say is wrong with it, but then I'm not a poetry expert...

I think its lovely. The descriptive similes and language really contribute to the astoundingness, for example, "my heart melts like butter." Bravo!

...wow. This is actually really good. I sincerely mean that. The only thing that really confuses me is what the "AANDM" at the beginning is supposed to mean/spell. edit: never mind, I got it
