Intro:

A long, long time ago, there were two groups of people in this world who train mysterious creatures called “Pokemon”. They lived in what SEEMED to be harmony. There was serenity between these two groups. Then, one day, the trainers-wait, it might have been the rangers, anyway, one of the two found an ancient stone tablet. It described that there are more powerful Pokemon out there. They are “legends”. They live in the shadows… in the sky… and sometimes, they’re right under our noses. We just chose not to see them. This tablet told of each legendary Pokemon, and their properties. These two groups shared the tablet, trying to find the legendary Pokemon. One day, the Rangers got greedy. Quite greedy, in fact. So greedy, that they stole the stone tablet! The trainers tried to catch them, but alas, couldn’t. The trainers were able to, however, destroy the stone tablet. They broke it into thirty-one pieces, each one explaining a different legend. They were scattered around the world, each in a different region. Maybe in a blizzard… maybe in a greener pasture… or maybe even in the centre of the earth.

Then, one day, a boy was born. Thomas Traich. He was “special”. He was an extremely talented trainer, who raised a Mareep ever since he was young. The leader of the trainers could sense how skilled this boy was. The trainers were lucky enough to have him; and so, he was trained. He was going to be the best. And with the help of his friends, he could help capture the legends and put the Rangers their rightful place.

All over the world was crisis. Even in space. Even in different dimensions, there was crisis. The stone tablet explained how if all these calamities were to be solved; the world could be brought to peace. However, if these legends were to be brought to the hands of evil, well, all that could really happen would be the destruction of everything created in this, and other worlds.

Chapter 1: Creating a master

“I can tell it’s going to be a stormy day.” A tall man with glasses which shimmered in the reflection of a lamp observed as he stood, looking out a window. His long, blue hair touched his red coat. The sky outside was barren. The land was destroyed. There was fighting outside-lasers shooting, gunfire sounded, and screams eroded. The man breathed a sigh, and sat down. His room was small with a large desk in the middle. There was a computer larger than his head and a carpet bigger than the desk. The four walls were made of green brick. He then pushed a small button on his black phone, and then began to say, “Please alert the boy that I’m coming”. And then, he began to walk out of the room.

Meanwhile, in another larger room, were two boys. One was short and brown-haired. He had small blue glasses that sat on his nose, and wore a black vest with a red shirt underneath, matching with his pants. He was commanding what appeared to be a very strong Ampharos. Opposite to him was a slightly taller boy with brown hair and rosy cheeks. He was clothed in a blue sweatshirt with matching pants. He was commanding a abnormally large Torterra.
“Well, well, Camden. Looks like we’re both in a bind here” The short boy commented.

“Yes, Tom, I do believe we are.” Camden agreed.

“Your Torterra is part Ground-type. My Ampharos’ Electric attacks won’t do a THING to him.” Tom paused for a moment, looked down at his untied shoes, and then said, “But that’s not the only trick up my sleeve! Ampharos, use Fire Punch!” Tom commanded, and just as he did so, Ampharos rushed quickly to Torterra. Its fists were flickering in the almost moonlit glow of the room’s skylight windows. As it hit Torterra, the room went up in smoke so dense you could cut it with a knife. When the dense smoke cleared, it was obvious that Ampharos had beaten Camden’s Torterra, which lay on the ground with cross-eyes.

“Well, it seems as if you’ve bested me again, my old friend!” Camden commented, returning Torterra to its Poke-Ball.

“Yes, it seems you have!” A tall man stepped out from a door on the far-east end of the room. It was the same man with blue hair and large glasses.

“Lucian… sir! What might you be doing here?” Tom questioned, returning Ampharos to its Poke-Ball.

“I was just observing my star pupils progress in battling.” Lucian smiled.

“And how was it?” Tom questioned.

“More than great! Don’t get me wrong, Camden, you were good yourself. In fact, you were very good! I just wanted to remind you that you are to meet me in my office with your fellow trainees right now” Lucian again smiled, putting his hand around Tom’s shoulder. “I think you’ll be happy to hear the news I have for you”
And so, he walked away, his hand pushing his glasses up to his eyes. Tom and Camden stayed in the large training room, looking puzzled. They then walked to Lucian’s office, which was quite far away from the training room. The hallways were paved with portraits of famous trainers and their fellow Pokemon. One that always caught Tom’s eye was one of the Master Dragon Trainer, Lance, and his Sister, Clair. They were standing side-by-side with their amazing Dragon Pokemon. Whenever Tom passed this picture, he thought that one day, he too could be like them. Powerful… respected… and, of course, talented. He paused and stared at the portrait, until Camden finally tugged his shirt and shouted, “C’mon, we don’t want to be late for whatever Lucian is talking about” He said with a smile.

“Heh heh, guess you’re right” Tom remarked.

At the end of the stone hallway was Lucian’s door. It was large and almost intimidating to the boys. They knocked on the door and it opened. Once it opened, they saw not just Lucian, but a whole mess of people. Some taller, some shorter, and some were familiar.

“Hello, boys. You’re the last to arrive” Lucian said.

“Well, now that you’re all here, let me explain” Lucian was standing with two tall bulky men and two familiar faces. One with a gray vest and blonde, spiky hair. The other had a light brown vest with purple long hair. The other two, Tom noticed almost immediately that they were Lance and Clair! The only thought that entered his mind was a blank one.

“Well, I’m sure you all know Sergeant google and Sergeant Dean. They’re the ones in the vests. And, we have a special surprise guest! As you know, Lance and his Sister, Clair, have both been doing spying in the current way that is going on- the one with the rangers. Well, they’re back with interesting news. They’ve obtained another part of the stone tablet, a very important part. It explains how to capture the three legendary birds, Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos. Well, in order to obtain this part of the tablet, we need more trainers to fight back. And so, we’re here to hold a tournament!”

“A… a tournament?!” Everyone in the room gasped.

“Yes, you have all been chosen to represent the trainers in the war against the rangers. Of course, there will be a tournament!” Lucian smiled, and put his arms out. Behind him, the walls tumbled down, only to reveal a large stadium!

All the trainers looked at it in awe, when Lucian’s voice broke the silence.

“Of course, let me introduce all of you! This is Pam and Jan, wonder twins!” He pointed to a blue and blonde haired identical twins, who wore red and white. They had circular glasses.

“Here is Landon, a very talented creative trainer!” He pointed to an abnormally tall boy with spiky hair.

“This is Adam, he thinks he knows everything, but doesn’t all the time. He is a talented trainer, though” He pointed to a shorter boy with long, black hair. He had very tan skin.

“This here is Jake, he is able to keep many strategies in his head” Lucian then pointed to a taller, larger boy with very long, black hair that kept in his face.

"This is David, he slacks off sometimes, but when he applies himself, he is one of the best trainers here" He pointed to a blue haired boy with a flame, black vest. He also had goggles on top of his hair.

“This is Brake and Ricky, They’re best friends who train their Pokemon together. ” Lucian pointed to two tall boys with black and brown hair. Ricky had a rectangular head and Brake was bulkier.

He then introduced Thomas and Camden the same way that I had to you, and explained the rules to all the trainers.

“You’ll be competing against all of us, Sergeant google and Dean, Me, Lance, and Clair.” Lucien announced over the gasps of everyone else in the room.

“Wait that hardly seems fair!” Pam complained. “You are all more experienced than we are!”

“It doesn’t matter who wins or loses. This is to test your skills in the battlefield. The higher you place in the tournament, the higher the mission we will give you” Lucian explained

“Heh” Lance laughed under his breath and smirked ever so slightly.

“Is there something you’d like to add?”

“No, Lucian. I’m sorry, go ahead” Lance said embarrassingly.

“Glad to hear that. Now, as for the rest of you, the first round will begin tomorrow at EXACTLY 6:45 A.M. Understood?” Sergeant google said in an intimidating tone. At this, everybody nodded, the group of leaders exited to the arena, leaving the skilled trainers in Lucian’s study.

Once they were out of earshot, Lucian confronted Lance about his previous behavior. “Lance…” He began.

“I know” He replied. “He’s the one. I saw it in his eyes. Yes, he will be very good indeed.”

“No, he will defeat them all. He will rise against them. After this, I want you to take him under your wing” Lucian ordered. “Understood, Lance?”

“… Yes sir. Tom will overcome them. I just hope that we don’t become ‘them’ to him.”

“Even so, there will be others, I’m sure” Clair intervened.

“No, he is the only one. The tablet says so” Lance replied.

“It won’t happen. He will stay. He knows the power of the Rangers” Lucian assured them. “Tom is great, but will become the best.”

To mods: Sorry for the double-post here. Hopefully, I can make it up to you by showing you chapter 2 :p

The Beginning of the Tournament! Tom vs. Lance!

‘Ring ring! Ring ring!’ A very loud alarm clock sounded in a darkened room with two bunk beds stationed symmetrically. The sheets were green and filled with two bodies. One was Tom, and the other was Camden. Tom, who was on the top bunk, was startled by the alarm clock and fell out of the bed, yelling “OW!” as he hit his head on the mahogany hardwood floors.

“Whoa, Tom, you akay?” Camden asked caringly as he jumped out of bed equally startled by the alarm.

“Yeah, I’m fine. Hey, what time is it?” Tom asked as he rubbed his throbbing head. Camden looked over at the clock and raised his two eyebrows. “Oh my gosh! It’s 6:30! We have to be at the tournament arena in fifteen minutes!” Camden yelled as he got out of his bed, trying to get dressed in his usual dark blue sweatshirt and matching pants. Tom was already dressed, but scrambled to find his glasses. In less than five minutes, the two had gotten their clothes and accessories on, and fastened their Pokeballs on their brown belts. They ran out of the closed off room to Lucian’s office, passing many other busy bodies. They met up with Landon, Brake, Pam, and Jan as they ran to the arena as well.

“Are you guys late also?” Tom asked, sprinting quickly across the long halls.

“Late???? It’s 6:40 in the morning and we’re still 10 minutes away from the arena!” Jan yelled in a voice containing everything but a feminine touch. “Get your rear in gear!” She then commanded.

For the next couple of minutes, they sprinted to the point where it hurt to breath. They finally reached Lucian’s large, steel door. Landon pulled on the metal door hinge and opened the intimidating entrance. When they entered, they didn’t see anybody in Lucian’s office.

“AAAAAAGH! We’re late!!!” Pam complained and started to yell even louder.

“What took you so long?” A voice came from the shadows of a door behind Lucian’s bookcase.

“Lucian?” Camden questioned the voice.

“Yes, ‘tis me. I’m glad you’re here, no matter how late you may be” Lucian assured them. He then opened the door to the tournament arena, where the rest of the trainers and Sergeants stood among Lance and Clair. “Please, come” Lucian showed them the way to the arena. “Round 1 pairings will be up momentarily”

Waiting anxiously, the gang met up with the others, among them was Brake, Jake, and David and Adam. “Glad you could finally come” Brake said in a condescending tone, smiling as he talked. Tom glared at him, but then let his hand out, to which Brake paused and returned the handshake gesture. They chuckled, and Tom confronted Adam, who said, “There’s no chance of your winning this tournament. I’m the best here” This made Tom angry, as he didn’t like to be underestimated by someone he didn’t know; even if he were underestimated by someone he DID know. Camden glared over at Adam, and Tom walked away.

A voice in the intercom above broke the uncomfortable silence. This voice was Lucian’s, of course. He was announcing the pairings, after re-explaining the rules and re-introducing the talented trainers. After a long series of introductions, the pairings were announced as followed:

Tom vs. Lance
Clair vs. Pam
Jan vs. Brake
Jake vs. David
Adam vs. Cam
Lucian vs. Landon
Ricky vs. Sergeant google
Sergeant Dean-bye

Tom overheard the stunning announcement of him facing Lance, his idol; his inspiration, and most importantly, the trainer he most feared. He looked over the trainers at Lance who was staring up at the sky. Lance then walked away to the centre of the stadium where there stood two white lines, indicating the different spots for the trainers to stand. Everyone else dispatched, and went into the stands to watch Tom and Lances’ match. Lance stopped when everyone had passed him and turned only his head around with his eyes closed. He said to Tom, “C’mon, rookie.” And opened his eyes as he turned around, advancing to the far left trainer station. After “coming to”, Tom went to the opposite trainer station, and awaited Lucian’s orders.

The crowd was silent for the time being, except for the few chuckles and cheers coming from Pam and Jan. Adam could be heard laughing under his breath, and Camden would occasionally say “knock ‘em dead, Tom!” Lucian’s soft voice finally broke the uncomfortable tension, as he announced the rules.

“This will be a six-on-six Pokemon battle between Lance and Thomas! There will be no time limit, and the match concludes after one trainer has all six of his Pokemon knocked out! Are you ready?” And in the stadium, it was unclear whether or not the two respectful trainers nodded their heads or not. Regardless, Lucian yelled, “BEGIN!”

“Alright, Garchomp, it’s all you!” Lance commanded the Land Shark Pokemon to emerge from the red energy that emits from the Pokeball. Its entrance on the field was terrifying and almost becoming. Tom returned by saying, “Salamance, show him who’s boss!” The equally large dragon Pokemon emerged from Tom’s Pokeball, and, with its intimidating eyes, used its ability to scare Garchomp slightly, thus lowering its attack.

“Garchomp, use Dragon Fang!” Garchomp rushed to Salamance, its fangs glowing under its nose.

“Salamance, Fly up high!” And, as commanded, Salamance roared into the sky, letting out a triumphant screech. Garchomp’s move missed the dragon Pokemon. “Now use Draco Meteor!”

At the sound of Tom’s voice, Salamance emitted a red aura and sent humongous meteors crashing down towards the land shark Pokemon.

“Garchomp, use Dig!” Garchomp burrowed underground at the last second, barely dodging Salamance’s furious barrage of attacks. The meteor’s kept coming for several seconds, before Salamance grew fatigue, and had to rest. It stopped flapping its wings and lay on the ground to recharge. Garchomp sensed this and came up from underground and used its pervious Dragon Fang attack, clamping onto Salamance’s wing!

“Ahh, Salamance!” Tom pleaded to Salamance, whose wing was now scarred with a bite mark.

“Humph” Lance laughed. “Now that your Salamances’ wing is damaged, it won’t be able to evade my attacks by flying. You’ll have to fight on the ground like the rest of us”

Tom struggled mentally for several seconds, pondering his options. There were few. He then realized that Garchomp’s greatest strength is also its greatest weakness.

“Salamance, use Dragon Claw!” And, like Garchomp’s fang, Salamance’s claw glowed almost in a moonlit sense. Lance replied, “Use Dragon Fang, Garchomp!” And Garchomp rushed to meet Salamance’s claw, which clashed with Garchomp’s fang. The two sharp features had met and were struggling to gain power over the other. First, Salamance pushed Garchomp back. Then, it was Garchomp who was the clear victor. Then Salamance, then Garchomp, finally, Tom commanded for Salamance to use its other hand! At this, Salamance slashed across Garchomp’s chest and nipped part of its arm. Garchomp let out a cry of pain and retreated. It paused for a moment to catch its breath.

“…” Lance paused; only the sound of his anger could be heard. “Good move…” He sadly admitted. “Garchomp, are you okay?” He questioned. Garchomp nodded and indicated that it was ready for battle again, despite its recent injury. “Now, use Swords Dance!” Garchomp began to chant and run in a specific motion.

“Salamance, respond with Hydro Pump!” Salamance let out a large water splash that directly hit Garchomp in its wound. It tried to defend itself with its arms, but they were in too much pain. It couldn’t take anymore, and so, it fell.

“Garchomp is unable to battle!” Lucian declared.

Lance sorely returned Garchomp to its Pokeball and let out a sigh. He took out another Pokeball and yelled, “Stay strong, Dragonite!” A large, blubbery Pokemon came out of Lance’s Pokeball. It let out a roar, which seemed to startle Salamance.

“Dragonite, use Ice Punch!” Dragonite ran towards Salamance, clamping its fist and casting it in Ice. Tom responded by saying “Salamance, dodge!” Salamance jumped to get out of the way, but Dragonite’s punch still hit part of Salamances’ wing. It was now frozen, enabling it to move at all. It was weighed down with a heavy block of ice.

“Salamance, no!” Tom pleaded.

“Finish up with Ice Punch, Dragonite!” Dragonite then clamped its fist again and hit Salamance in the middle of its eyes, causing it to let out a cry of pain. It then lay on the ground, cross-eyed.

“Salamance is unable to battle!” Lucian again declared.

Tom smiled and returned Salamance to its rightful place in his Pokeball. He reached behind his belt to grab another Pokeball, and yelled, “Go, Gardevoir!” A rather small, yet very becoming Pokemon came out of Tom’s Pokeball. It put its hand up to its mouth and smiled.

“Gardevoir, use Teleport!” Gardevoir disappeared and reappeared behind Dragonite. “Now use Psychic!” It was no easy feat, but Gardevoir had used its telekinetic powers to lift Dragonite above the stadium in a blue aura.

“Dragonite, try to break free!” Dragonite struggled, but alas, was stuck in Gardevoir’s powerful mind hold.

“It’s no use.” Tom explained. “Once Gardevoir has trapped a foe in a Psychic Lock, there’s no escaping it. Gardevoir, now use Ice Beam!” Gardevoir was able to separate the psychic powers and the ice powers, as the large beam of ice hit Dragonite in the abdomen. It let out a cry of distress and at that, it fainted; cross-eyed.

“Dragonite it unable to battle!” Lucian again declared.

“Well, I guess the score’s four-to-5, eh?” Lance admitted, returning Dragonite to its Pokeball. “Go, Dragonite!” He proudly declared.

“ANOTHER one???” Tom questioned. “Alright, I can deal with this. Gardevoir, use Shadow Sneak!” Gardevoir’s shadow crept away from it and went behind the large Dragon and slapped it continuously. “Dragonite, use agility to escape the shadow!” Lance commanded.

“Gardevoir, respond with Trick Room!”

“What’s that?” Questioned Lance

“Since you’re Dragonite is faster than my Gardevoir, I’ll be hitting you first for the next FIVE turns!” Tom explained happily. “Now, use Giga Impact!” Gardevoir raised itself above the ground using its telekinetic powers and rushed towards the slower Dragonite, sticking with all its might. Dragonite might have fainted, had its blubbery fat not protected it from the physical attack. Dragonite did, however, fall hard against the stone wall which cracked.

“My Dragonite!” Lance yelled. Dragonite struggled to get up, which it did, looking angry. “Use Outrage! Quickly!” Lance commanded the powerful Pokemon, who rushed towards Gardevoir emitting a strange, angry aura. It threw fireballs at it, and when they hit, Gardevoir was sent hurling towards the ground. It sat there, motionless.

“Gardevoir is unable to battle!” Lucian said in the intercom, this time with a different tone. It’s unsure what kind of tone, but it was definitely a different tone.

“Gardevoir, my old friend, return!” Tom reluctantly returned Gardevoir to its Pokeball. “Go, Kabutops!” Tom sent out the large, powerful looking Fossil Pokemon.

“Use Ice Beam, Kabutops! Aim for the wings!”

“Dodge, Dragonite, by flying into the air!” Dragonite used the same tactic Salamance used earlier in the battle. “Now use Flamethrower!”

Kabutops’ Ice Beam collided with Dragonite’s flamethrower; however, being ice, it was quickly melted by Dragonite’s flames.

“Quickly, Kabutops, use Protect!” Kabutops shielded itself from the flames coming from Dragonite.

“Now, use Water Pulse!” Tom commanded. The large ring of water hit Dragonite quite hard, and sent it plummeting head-first to the ground. Upon impact, Dragonite automatically fainted.

“Dragonite is unable to battle!” Lucian again declared, this time in a happier voice that was obvious. The crowd cheered, except for Clair, who just looked across the stands.

“Return Dragonite!” Lance showed no regret in returning Dragonite to its Pokeball. “Go, Houndoom!” The Dark Dog Pokemon emerged from the Pokeball and let out a triumphant howl, which scared Kabutops into taking a few steps back.

“Houndoom, use Fire Blast!” Houndoom howled and gathered up power, pinching its claws into the ground. A giant burst of flames was sent hurling to Kabutops. To which, Tom responded, “Kabutops, use Hydro Pump!”

Both trainers shielded their faces with their arms until the smoke cleared. When it did, both Pokemon were still left standing, scratches on both of them. They were breathing heavily, but still were strong. Kabutops had less energy, having battled Dragonite earlier.

“I must concede to you that were a brilliant stand-still.” Lance admitted. You are a talented trainer.

“T-th… thank you?” Chris questioned. He felt uneasy accepting a compliment from Lance, his idol.

“Houndoom, use Crunch!” Houndoom ran up to Kabutops, crunching its Arm Blade.

“Kabutops, return with Fury Cutter!” Kabutops cut Houndoom’s throat, causing it to fall to the ground.

“Houndoom is unable to battle!” Lucian announced over the intercom.

“That was unexpected” Lance thought to himself. “Maybe… no, it’s not over”

“Return, Houndoom. Go, Charizard!” Lance commanded the Flare Lizard to emerge from its Pokeball.

“Kabutops, you’re going great. Hang in there!”

“That’ll be hard to do after I use Flamethrower!” Charizard quickly let out a burst of flames from its mouth. Kabutops didn’t have enough time to act, and so, it was knocked out.

“Kabutops is knocked out!” Lucian said under his voice. He had a hint of assertiveness.

“Return, Kabutops! You’ve been a great help, but now it’s time to rest!” Tom commanded. “Now, go, Empoleon!” The penguin Pokemon emerged from the Pokeball, skating across the field.

“Empoleon, use Bubblebeam!” Empoleon flapped its wings and had bubbles flitter out of them. They doused Charizard, before Lance finally commanded, “Use wing attack to send the Bubbles back at Empoleon!” This did happen, hitting Empoleon right in the chest. Tom let out a short, “Argh…”

“You must be on your toes, Tom.” Lance began. He then said under his breath, very softly. “That’ll be among one of the things I’ll teach you”

“Pardon?” Questioned Tom

“I said, Charizard, use Blast Burn!” Charizard flew up into the sky, fell down into the ground, and as it did, the ground almost erupted into a burst of flames.

“Empoleon, dodge!” Empoleon had no way of dodging the flames, even through jumping. The whole field was encased with flames and smoke, which caused the crowd to gasp with awe as if they were watching fireworks. When the flames cleared, Empoleon was laying on the ground with the usual fainted cross-eyes.

“Empoleon cannot battle anymore!” Lucian voiced.

“Hmph” Tom said sorrowfully. “Return, Empoleon! Go, Sceptile!” The large gecko came out of the red light of the Pokeball, starring Charizard straight in the eye. They glared for a while, trying to feel each other out.

“Sceptile, use Quick Attack!” Sceptile glided across the field, and when it came to Charizard, it punched it straight in the stomach, making Charizard gasp as it tried to take Sceptile’s fist out of its stomach.

“Now change the punch into Leaf Blade!” A blade on Sceptile’s arm began to glow, and as it did, Sceptile sliced Charizard’s stomach, making it let out a roar of pain. It fell to the ground and fainted.

“Charizard is unable to battle!” Lucian announced. He was angered this time, it seemed. That thought entered Tom’s mind, but was the least of his worries.

Lance returned the powerful flame Pokemon to its Pokeball, and sighed. “Go, my trusted friend, Dragonite!!” Another lizard came out of Lance’s Pokeball, but this one was different. It wasn’t the usual Dragonite orange. No, it was… it was GREEN!

“Whoa… what’s with your Dragonite’s colour???” Tom questioned.

“It’s a shiny Pokemon. Shiny Pokemon are alternate forms of their regular ones. Their power isn’t any different, but they just look fancy, I suppose.” Lance paused. “But this Dragonite is different. It was my first Pokemon. We’ve been together for years, and I’ve raised it since it was a Dratini. We’re… we’re best friends” Lance closed his eyes and smiled. His red spiky hair got in his face, and as he blew it out, Tom realized Lance had a sentimental side. Maybe he just didn’t like to show it.

“Well, then” Tom began, “Why don’t we finish this battle! Use Bullet Seed, Sceptile!”

“Dragonite, use Flamethrower!” The Flames destroyed the seeds and scorched Sceptile, which made it yell in agony. It wasn’t down- yet.

“Sceptile, use Leaf Blade!” Tom commanded.

“I don’t think so, Dragonite, use Ice Punch!” The punch hit Sceptile on the head, sending it hurling to the stands.

“Sceptile is unable to battle!” Lucian said in a much happier tone this time. This time, Tom was sure of Lucian’s chance in voice.

“Alright, Sceptile. You were great, return!” Sceptile was sent back to its Pokeball, and Tom sent out his final Pokemon. “Ampharos, go!” The lightning Pokemon came out of its Pokeball, sending lightning into the air. This Pokemon was larger than a regular Ampharos, and twice as powerful.

“Ampharos, use Thunder!” Ampharos commanded the clouds above to send lightning down to strike Dragonite, whose wings were scarred.

“Dragonite…!” Lance gasped. “Are you okay?!” He asked in a caring tone. Dragonite gave a nod, and the battle continued. “Use Earthquake!”

“Ampharos, respond with Ice Beam!”

The shifting ground wasn’t able to reach Ampharos before the Ice Beam could reach Dragonite. When it did, Dragonite fainted upon hit. The Earthquake did hit Ampharos, but that was after the fact.

“Dragonite is unable to battle!” Lucian said happily. “Tom is the victor!”

The crowd cheered loudly, and Tom smiled in disbelief. Lance returned the lizard to its previous resting area, its cozy Pokeball. Lance smiled at the Pokeball, and then smiled at Tom, who was raising his hands in the air.

“Oh, yes. This kid’s good” Lance admitted under his breath.

Okay, thanks :). C&C thanx :)

Bump, I guess. I know you're looking at this thing-I mean, c'mon. 60 views but no replies OR votes in the poll? That's either really bad or really good.

RE: The Rangers Vs. Trainers-The end of peace. Comments appreciated! Intro & Ch. 1 in

I must say, I didn't want that last chapter to end. You battle scenes have great imagery, I can imagine every single thing, an image in my head, each word and phrase and paragraph. You have a great storyline, good characters, each unique. You've out-done yourself this time, Sylar. Nice job!

Sylar said:
“T-th… thank you?” Chris questioned. He felt uneasy accepting a compliment from Lance, his idol.

I thought it was Tom, not you :p

Ah, yes. From the last trainers fan-fic, I had used Chris instead of Tom. I guess I was used to writing his name :p.

Thanks for the input! All the chapters will be just as descriptive, if not better :)
