Strategy:

Basically, Kyogre-EX's attack will put energies back into my hand. Blastoise will let me re-attach energies onto the Kyogre. Mega Kyogre moves energies to the other Pokemon. Moving energies onto Huntail will allow Huntail to clean up late game. Everything else is pretty self-explanatory. This is the first deck I built in theory only.

Yeah Kyogre ex and blastiose is pretty much like a deck in the past blastoise/Feraligator prime. Are you sure that the Huntail is really neccesary. I understand with all that energy in play it could do a lot of damage. The Alpha growth also but I think it is just too much for the deck and hurts the consistency a little.

Huntail I feel could be a very solid late-game cleaner, but honestly without testing, I cant know if its as good in game as it is in my theories. I dont know if its worth taking out or not yet, but if you have anything better, I'm all ears... err... eyes.

Also, I liked Birch when I was looking at the pack, but Im thinking Sycamore would be better. Thoughts?

yeah probably stick to Sycamore or juniper it has a better draw for the deck. Even though you have to discard. Also maybe Xerosic for when you go against Seismetoad/Garbodor since it will shut down Blastoise.

What to neg for Xerosic?

I don't think you need the Huntail line. If you want a non-EX evolved attacker you have blatoise, but Pyroar/Safeguard isn't a thing anymore. You could add 1-2 Teammates (chances are you don't get KOed early game) and 1-1 more Blastoise.

I think this deck is really vulnerable for VIRGEN deck, how about to put 2 reshiram to play little bit against plant.
