they shouldn't get rid of all the sets that spend there money there sets I've bin buying these cards since they came out and they keep bring out delta sepcies cards and no other good cards plus there is no orginial decks its all LBS, flaridos, mynx, lunarock there is no other deck so this game is starting to suck because I cant buy a million good cards when I went to nationals everyone had way better cars then I did and no one would trade with me

No need to buy boosters, you can trade cards with other people here on forum. Card thet you dont need, trade for cards that you need.

EDIT: If its that what you mean ::rolleyes:

yeah, but when you don't have the cards everyone is looking for (usually people are just looking for cards to build a certian cookie cutter deck) it's hard to trade. . .i don't care were you trade at.

welcome to tcg man. . .
it's not just pokemon. . .i've seen what your describing in magic the gather, yu-gi-oh, magi-nation, and the lord of the rings tcg.
people find a powerfull deck, that is strong against most other decks. . .the prices on the cards used in the deck sky rocket (so only people with alot of money can afford them). . .and it's very, very tough to play the game in this environment, unless you too have the money for this game.
i don't know about leagues. . .but they're suppose to be more casual. . .maybe you could join a league, and your deck/s would hold there own.
magic has a couple casual tournaments as well. arena, and friday night magic. i think having casual forms of tournaments is critical to most tcg's. . .just so everyone can enjoy the game (not just the guys with all the money).

i understand your frustration though man. i played at a few magic tournaments. . .and i simply didn't have the money to compete. . .made it unfun (though i had a blast at arena. . .won one once with a pretty weak, and cheap deck.)
good luck.
thnx.

Well, thats your problem. Find a deck thats cheap, and play it. Something like lunasol is cheap, stays after rotation, and can win. Just find something that works or don't bother playing.

but lunasol loses swoop, and admin so it'll get hurt pretty well. not to say it isn't still good, it'll just get hurt.

of course it does this dude, but that's just the way it is. if you can't handle it, don't play, because it's never gonna stop. just try to be creative with teh cards you do have, and try to make a good deck out of that, plus trade as much as possible with people who will trade with you, and i promise yu there are some people that'll trade with you.

try to find a cheap deck, ie Lunarock, Queendom, stuff like that, and try to play that, or go rogue.

Arcanine out.

What do you mean there is no original decks? The nationals winner used an original deck.

Also it's not very hard to build good cheap decks. All what you have to do is to choose a good theme deck that you want your deck be based around. Next try to figure out what cards will work best in this deck. Finally, buy some single cards off eBay, your local store or from any other online store to make your deck stronger.

If you're playing pokemon just for tourneys, then you could do what I do; save up for mths, then when a tourney looms buy, spend a bit of cash for a decent deck.

Hell, none of my decks ever cost more than US$70.

On original decks, I have only one thing to say: did you even try? i got 3rd in my Nationals using Banette EX with gardy-d combo, which is probably the first in the world. And JynxFett is a strong cheapo deck.

If you're tired of seeing archetypes everywhere, then make your own combos. It's what I do, I ALWAYS enter a tourney with a rogue deck. It's a road less travelled, but at least it works for me.

well, u can try burning liability.

the typholosion can be obtained in the deck, weezing's uncommon, and all left is those cheap and easy- to -find cards.

this deck is also the nightmare of (almost)all decks, no matter how many HP they have, they will died bcoz of bruning+liability
