Thoughts on Steel decks?

I play a steel deck that runs (DE) Aggron with other EXes. Does anyone else have a steel deck? I feel like steel type is not getting any love from the card producers. What do you guys think?

Whadda ya mean.... Registeel EX/Terrakion EX/Terrakion is a great deck :p

It's a great type just needs more friends, it's like the Darkrai of next format, can be good, will certainly be tested and just needs love from the community.

I've been waiting for some new steel types

I've been waiting for a new steel pokemon card to replace one of my 4-4-4 lines because I need some more trainers in the deck. The new set doesn't help a whole lot. The Escavalier seems OK except but his main attack, he can't use on the next turn. The aggron seems like it could have potential, his first attack could screw you over, and his others could also if you had basics or were setting up an EX. The jirachi is just horrible, 90hp for an EX, hopefully the next set might give a bit more love to steel.

it seems like Pokemon tries to make steel a type around milling and opponent deck manipulation, but it just doesn't work. Not competitively at least.
I wish the tcg was made like MtG where each color/type focused around different strategies. For instance blue would be milling and control.

Pokemon sort of has color identity, but its rather inconsistent. Fire tends to have powerful attacks that require you to discard Energy attached to that Pokemon in order to use the attack (see Reshiram BW). Water tends to have attacks that deal more damage if you have more Energy attached to that Pokemon (see Keldeo EX). Dragons (both before and after being recognized as an actual type) tend to have attacks that require 2 different types of Energy other than Colorless (see Rayquaza EX). There are, however, tons of exceptions to these and a lot of color identity "leaking". Milling has always been really uncommon (perhaps because its a lot more powerful than it would be in MtG or Yu-Gi-Oh seeing as how in Pokemon its quite possible to deck yourself by using a draw supporter every turn for a few turns).

PlasmaKlang is probably going to get less popular now due to Cobalion NV and Klinklang BW rotating, but it was a relatively popular deck for a time.

The only good steel deck was Klinklang/Cobalion, but BW Klinklang is getting rotated, so it is dead.

First of all, control deck in the current format? I laugh,

Second, James is right, PKK is the only decent steel deck right now and even then it still sucks due to so much losses from the rotation but it kinda is a good thing because PKK is such a brainless deck when not against Goth.
