Tom & Jerry - Who is the bad guy?

Well, I mean, come on, it's a cartoon. :/
 
Tom and Jerry, wooo for old memories haha! I think that they both can be jerks but I do have to say you gotta look back to the beginning. Tom is trying to capture Jerry so in the case of defense Jerry is trying to save himself which would then make Tom the bad guy. But then that Spike dog dude is also trying to get Tom so then there's like a little food chain going on here. :p

But noticed in the Movie they get along... :O

^There have been various movies. All of which have the same ending.
They solve the problem, then fight again.
