DPPt/HGSS Too Late for Mew in HGSS?

Sorry for my newbness... I play TCG, but don't know much about the video games.

So, my 9-year-old son is heart-broken --- he loves Mew and just figured out that the download is over.

Can anyone give this PokeDad some guidance on how I can get a Mew for him?

We have the action replay! We don't know too much 'bout how to use it...

theres alot of codes online..try to find one that says Event Mew code. put it in exactly as described..then follow the simple instructions in the game with the game in and the code turned on
 
If you have Wi-Fi, you could link your DS too it and trade somebody for it online. Then again, he has to have it on his Pokedex to be able to get it via Wi-Fi trade. So, I guess the only way to get Mew now is the Action Replay.
 
You could try checking trade threads to see if anyone has one listed. This way you could get a legit Mew which would be much better than a hacked one.
 
Unfortunatly, the next Wi-Fi event in the US will most likely be a Victini because of the US release of Black and White....
 
AR is the way to go. Just google the codes online (and see the responses to make sure it works), and you've got a Mew. Much easier than getting a legit Mew, and it may as well be legit as long as you don't give it impossible stats, etc.

I'll try to get it cloned for you for the weekend (most likely Saturday or Sunday~Sydney GMT+11 time).

Edit: I've got several legit Mew's.
 
^At this time, the most reliable way is the one listed right above me - to get it is to trade with someone who already has it. If you can, go for it.
 
I don't mind trading my Mew away. I don't need it much anyway. :)
Just message me and we'll set up a trade if you're still up for it.
