WindierWeavile

Breezing through life as a Weavile on a windy day.
Member
Pokemon: 14

4 Torchic (Primal Clash)
4 Volcanion EX (Steam Siege)
2 Hoopa EX (Ancient Origins)
2 Shaymin EX (Roaring Skies)
2 Jirachi (XY67)

Trainers: 34

3 N
3 Sycamore
2 Lysandre
1 Hex Maniac
1 Xerosic
4 Trick Coin
2 Fisherman
4 Vs Seeker
3 Ultra Ball
2 Sky Field
2 Scorched Earth
2 Level Ball
3 Float Stone
2 Switch

Energy: 12

12 Fire Energy

Strategy:

The goal of this deck is to go second, and utilize Hoopa to get as many Volcanion Ex out as possible to charge up Torchic. With Torchic's Ancient Trait, it allows it to attack twice per turn and Torchic's attack does 20 damage + the 120 extra damage from the 4 Volcanion EX to do 140 damage and attack with that damage twice in one turn.

Now I'm not the best at deck building, so i'm open to suggestions on things to change with this deck. It's just a raw deck at the moment. Let me know what you guys think about this deck.

This has the potential to do a lot of damage. The only issue I see is a simple play of Hex every turn will completely shutdown this deck with no answer. So, that being said, you would need an additional attacker or some backup plan.

I really believe the potential of this deck will be unown in standard. There really won't be enough time to test it for Worlds. And after rotation, we will not know what cards will stay and go for standard. Xerosic, Battle Compressor, Blacksmith, Trick Coin and even VS seeker are on the chopping block. I might have missed it, but are they releasing these cards in another set? Without those cards, this deck might be harder to put together in standard.

Vs Seeker is reprinted as a secret rare card in ROS.

What about 1-2 Flareon EX as a backup attacker?

I like the idea of Flareon Ex as a back up. The only problem I see with Flareon is getting enough energy on him quickly. Maybe I could do something like
-1 Float stone
-Xerosic
-Ultra ball
-1 Lysandre

+2 Flareon Ex
+2 Blacksmith

I think you'd need to discard multiple fire energies from your hand each turn to keep this going. Hex maniac does not belong in this deck at all. You will negate the damage bonuses by playing it.

Simple add 2 Pokemon Ranger, play them then use Volcanion's ability :p

I would prefer not to use torchic, as the attack has a chance to fail, trick coin is getting rotated, and it's attack is simply unreliable. Instead, has anybody considered max elixer in this deck, let alone a better attacker in the form of the ancient trait entei from aor?
