is there anyone else on here that lives in ireland that also wants pokemon tournaments to come to ireland? i do and i would really like tournaments to come to Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Sligo and Cork at first. Where would you like them to be held at first?

Is there anyway i can contact pokemon to ask them about tournaments coming to ireland?

Yep! I live in Ireland and I definatly want Pokemon Tournaments to come to Ireland! I'd like them to come to those places too, and also, if the don't do them there, Fermanagh and Antrim, but if they were to do Pokemon Tournaments in Ireland then, they would probably do them in Dublin, Cork and Antrim. :( (I could be wrong though!)

*Wishes that I knew the answer to your question* :( I'm really sorry that I don't.

yeah, i might go onto pokemon.com and try to find an email address. Are there any pre-releases in your area? There are none in my area.

GL! I hope that you find one! :D

:( Thats a shame. Unfortuneatly, there are none in my area too. :(

One of you two should talk to your OP branch and see if you can become a League Leader or TO, and work up to becoming a PTO so Ireland WILL have those Pre-release events. :D

Since you are in Ireland, you might need to do things differently than I would in the USA. I don't want to lead you astray however, so the best people to contact would be TPCi. They will re-direct you if necessary, but they will aid you if you REALLY are interested in doing the work for Organized Play in your area.

I'm sure there will also be a consideration for the number of players in your area, but I think if you are willing to do the work you could start something big. :-D

Cool! Thanks for telling me! :D Where do I go to contact them please?

i would like to do that but i can`t because i `m not old enough. thanks for the information, i might when i`m older.

Actually getting op to your country involves sending tpci an email,to which they reply "we are constantly lookin to expand our blah blah blah, and cannot assure anybody of bringing op anywhere "
i already tried it for india :(

There's a tournament every year at the anime convention Nom Con at the D4 Hotel August 5th-7th.

The Gathering in Limerick has been approved as a League location.

But, they have yet to enter any play times or to order any league materials. The addition of a League Leader was allowed to expire too . They could do with some help/commitment from a local player to get them actually going as there is nothing more that OP can do.

-----

There was a league in Dublin run by Mairead but she was relocated to London and no one has stepped in to actually continue the league.

======

If you want a league in Ireland there is nothing preventing it other than a lack of local commitment to actually make it happen. :( A functioning league would very quickly be offered a Battle Road and if associated with a store like the Gathering pre-releases too.

Not sure if the OP really cares about this anymore after posting a year ago...lol. If he does, PMing would have been much better.

Leagues can be posted in the appropriate Sub-Forum now that we have a Forum for those, so yeah. Bad revive of this thread.
