Hello, this is a deck idea that I have been kicking around for a while. It combines low energy cost, free retreat, massive quantities of poison and paralysis to top it all off.

Pokemon: 17
  • 2 Beedrill EX
  • 2 M Beedrill EX
  • 3 Sceptile EX
  • 2 M Sceptile EX
  • 2-2 Yanmega (PHF)
  • 1-1 Ariados (AOR)
  • 1-1 Dodrio (BKT)
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums: 18
  • 2 Beedrill Spirit Link
  • 2 Sceptile Spirit Link
  • 2 Muscle Band
  • 2 Escape Ropes
  • 1 Evosoda
  • 1 Level Ball
  • 3 Ultra Ball
  • 1 Professor's Letter
  • 2 Mega Turbo
  • 2 VS Seeker

  • 2 N
  • 1 Giovanni's Scheme
  • 2 Professor Sycamore
  • 1 Skyla
  • 1 Hex Maniac
  • 1 Lysandre
  • 1 Xerosic
  • 2 Fisherman

  • 4 Forest of Giant Plants
Energy: 10
  • 2 DCE
  • 8 Grass

My thinking behind this setup is as follows.
Start by setting up the ol' Sceptile EX/Ariados combo, poison and 130 damage for a grass and colorless energy.
Then set your sights on getting M Beedrill, for 2 grass energy does 40 damage, causes 4 damage counters of poison in between turns and inflicts paralysis.
Once you have poisoned and paralyzed the opponent, you can retreat the next turn and place the Sceptile EX or a M Sceptile as your active. The M Sceptile will allow you to place two grass energy on M Beedrill and heal all damage that might be on it making him ready to go next turn.
This is where the Dodrio comes in, he provides free retreat cost for Sceptile EX/M Sceptile so as to protect thier energy from his retreat cost.
They may also be switched out for a Yanmega to do 100 damage. Not only can they hit relatively hard and have free retreat, but they can also allow you to shuffle your hand to draw 6 cards. However, their downfall is their attack cost is a grass and 2 colorless. These are mostly just in case the opponent has a way to block EXs.
