DPPt/HGSS Trading from D/P to S/R

I'm not sure where this thread belongs, so i'm sorry to the mods if it's in the wrong spot.

I have a lot of pokemon in Sapphire that i want to trade into Diamond, so i can trade people here in the wi-fi league.
But my chord that works with Gameboy advanced dosn't connect into my brand new DS.
Is it possible to bring my pokemon from Sapphire? How?

you have to use dual slot. but to trade pokemon from the GBA games you have to have the Nat. Dex and have beat the Elite Four in D/P.

You should know, that pokemon from the 3rd generation are not traded to the 4th gen, but permanently transferred, this means that after you put them on D/P they can never go back to R/S/S/Fr/Lg.
