Trading Pre-Tourney?

So, I'm thinking about going to Maryland States tomorrow, but my deck still... well, it still has proxies for 15 of the uncommons. How hard is it to pick up random uncommons before a tournament, usually? I JUST got back into the game (collected from Base-the original G/S, then didn't buy ANYTHING till last summer, around when Rising Rivals came out.) A few I should be able to work out with a friend and a few I couldn't imagine would be TOO hard to get, such as Pokemon Collector, as it's pretty new. However, I've been having real difficulty with Unown G (I only need one) and Call Energy (Need a full set of four), as they are rather... pricey online, and I was wondering if that translated into trading as well. I may be able to make something out of what I have, but... well, as I'm playing an Arceus deck, it kinda needs that tight, thorough build and subbing is a bit rough.
 
Try to get as much of it planed out to get from someone that you know will be there, beacuse most people don't cary around commons/uncommons.
 
Ack. As I only really started playing with one person and have only went to league a few times, I don't really have contacts set up. Any chance anyone here is going and would be willing to help a newbie out? Oh well, guess I better do some makeshift modifications and hope they don't screw me too bad.
Edit: Oh, and thanks for the advice. Also, a quick aside: Is there anything I need to do to play the ancient colorless energies that I have? I don't have any of the new one, so if I need a reference card or something is there a printout or something I can use?

And anyway, I got my deck finished the day of Cities! I got 2 BTS, 1 call, and 3 sleeves that I was missing. lol States is bigger, who knows what you could find.

naw they're basically the same text so you dont need a reference
