Trevenant/Accelgor Skeleton List:
Pokémon: 22
Strategy:
The goal of this deck is to permanently lock your opponent. This is accomplished by using Accelgor's Deck and Cover attack to repeatedly Paralyze your opponent's Active Pokemon, while sending up Trevenant to prevent your opponent from playing Switch, then using Dusknoir's Sinister Hand to move the damage off of the Paralyzed Pokemon so it never gets knocked out. Mew EX can copy Accelgor's attack, and since Mew's a Basic Pokemon, it's easier to draw a Mew and Double Colorless every turn than a Shelmet, Accelgor and Double Colorless. The issues with this deck are Virizion EX, Supporters that can remove Paralysis, and inconsistency. Virizion EX, as well as cards like Pokémon Center Lady, AZ and Cassius all shut off your lock, as well as playing a Lysandre to move Trevenant out of the Active spot, then playing a Switch. The deck also has trouble setting up. You need several Stages 1s, and a Stage 2 for this deck to work. Most decks have trouble setting up one Stage 2, not to mention the multiple Trevenant, Accelgor and Mews you constantly need. However, once this deck is set up, it is nearly unbeatable.
