Ruling Triple Poison Toxicroak Questions

Hi there, I'm new to Pokemon and haven't found a good way to look up questions like these yet. I'm trying to understand how an attack like Triple Poison works. For example,

1) Toxicroak retreats to the bench or is switched to the bench. Is the poisoned active pokemon still taking 3 damage counters from poison between turns? If not, why?
2) Toxicroak is knocked out. Is the poisoned active pokemon still taking 3 damage counters from poison between turns? If not, why?
3) Toxicroak goes to the bench and is replaced by Gengar (not Gengar EX). Gengar uses his first attack, Sinister Fog, which also poisons the Active Pokemon. Is the poisoned pokemon taking 1 damage counter between turns or 3, and why?

Thanks!

1 & 2) Regardless of what happens to Toxicroak-EX after the opponent's Active Pokémon has been Poisoned, the effect is applied to the Defending Pokémon. If Toxicroak leaves the Active spot or leaves play altogether the Poison remains the same: 3 counters per in-between-turns phase.

3) Since you'd be Poisoning the Defending Pokémon once again, the most recent effect would remain. The Active would take only 1 damage counter between turns since Sinister Fog was the most recent Poison effect applied.

Hope I could help! :)

Thanks very much! Is there a good place to try to look up things like this? I've looked for more extensive rules, but the official rulebook is fairly thin.

(Can't post links from phone, sorry)
The Compendium BW has rulings for all cards that might require clearing or explanation. It's written by TPCi's official Rules Team, so everything you see in there is official and can't be argued.
