Triumphant Electivire. Need Ideas!!

Hey. First Post here, but i'm in need of some help. I went to the triumphant pre-release today and got some good stuff. Mainly the card I wanted most which happened to be a promo. Electivire! I want to try and build a deck around it seeing as how I don't have much since I started playing competitively and collecting a little over a month ago.

Does anybody know what pair well with this Electivire, or if it's even worth playing at all?

Also the only card on the top of my head that could pair with Electivire would be Ampharos Prime IMO. Just something about seeing the opponent getting punished from Ampharos and Electivire just for setting up energies seems cool.

Please I need all the help and criticism possible. Thanks you guys!
 
Electivire needs a way to get energy on him, and get said energy fast. Since thats pretty hard to do, I don't see much of a future for him in his own deck, especially since against low-on-energy decks he'll be dead weight.
However, he could work as a tech. I'd suggest trying to work him with Magnezone (SF and Prime) as a 2-2 line tech, he could cause some upsets in that deck.
 
Electivire isn't very good due to it's slow speed and potential for a low damage output, but if you absolutely must run it, use Electrode prime to power him up. Eelectrode will also activate Twins upon it's self destruction for a faster set up.
 
Yeah the Magnezones are catching my eye. Which Magnezone SF though? Or both of them? And just how exactly is Electivire supposed to be a tech in Magnezone?
 
If you really want to run Electivire in Magnezone, I'd get these lines:
4 Magnemite
3 Magneton
2 Magnezone SF (Lightning)
1 Magnezone Prime (Some extra draw/firepower)
1 Magnezone X
2 Electabuzz
2 Electivire

The rest would be your everyday standard support, in this case Spiritombs, Uxies and an Azelf. You let Magnezone do the bulk of the work, then Electivire to clean stuff up.
 
^ This right there! Awesome idea. I can see electivire wth electrode or pachirisu triumphant if it ever comes out to attach energies faster also electrode G for more spreading. Ampharos prime and platinum can be pretty good in here too for spreading and locking. You can also try out electrode sf for the sake of locking with ampharos pl and spreading some more. I can see Entei Raikou Legend being HUGE in this deck so you can snipe the attacker with energies on them with electivire and finish off the techs like uxie, azelf, sunflora and all that stuff with ERL and also use manectric pl. Electivire FB and lvx can also work in here to power up electivire. Rotom UD is awesome in this deck to finish off the job if electivire gets koed and hes like an azel at the same time. Jolteon RR isnt too bad in this deck. Zapdos MD again not a bad spreader. Plusle SV, nice source of draw and speeds up the energy attaching. Other then that there is the magnezone engine. Think I listed everything...
 
There is a Tentacrule from LA with a free attack that may help you out.
It's first attack is free,take 2 energys from you oppenent's dicsard pile and attach them to your oppenent's Pokemon in anyway you like.Each energy attached deals 20 damage to that Pokemon
