Trying to Make a TCG Catalog, Looking for Help

A few friends that collect Pokemon TCG (and some other TCG) are trying to create a global catalog of all Pokemon TCG :)

It'll be also one where you can mark what you have so people can trade. What do you think? Anyone wants to help?

RE: Trying to make a TCG catalog - help?

I think its an AMAZING idea (if its worldwide, don't forget Australia). I'd love to help with writing articles about decks in the tcg (pm me) The trade idea is great, and if you can pull it off, I'm sure it'd be a best seller. Before going into a physical print, I think itd be better to do an email sort if thing, where you can subscribe to get the catalogs, and see what people think. Once again I'd love to help and I think this could be great.

Great idea, but there are already numerous sites that do this, including the HQ scans found right here on PokéBeach. There are other sites which feature text-based catalogs, as well (no, I won't be linking to them), as well as some general card game sites that allow you to mark your collection for trade.

As far as I see it, PokéBeach has everything you need already. Highest quality scans you'll find most anywhere (with most, if not all, sets covered), and a wonderful trading forum (which offers global trading).

Thanks for the positive attitude, zavtac :) We'd love to receive your help! I'll PM you now.
The catalog is meant to be online, and we've already been working on it. What we mainly need now is to fill it up with more cards and info. It is worldwide, including translations of the catalog and cards in different languages. We have more than 8,000 Pokémon cards on it, but we need MORE :D

I'm not saying that PokéBeach doesn't have a lot already, but we wanted a general TCG catalog where we get also matching tools - they already exist on the site we're using, why not use them for TCG too? I think it could be useful.

This site has a great database. Maybe you can help improve this site, by making more lists with check box format (they did it for earlier sets, but not for BW era). And add to it. Get in touch with the mods of this site, and maybe you can help.

An excellent suggestion.

I'm not a programmer, I can't create things like that... That's why we're using an existing place that already has these features. It's not supposed to be a remark on what pokebeach has to offer, just suggesting another new tool and resource.
