Wow, it's weird hearing you guys talk. Doc sounded like he was standing ten metres away from his mike, I could hardly hear him :p
 
Nice to hear Pory, doc and WPM again, although Pory's voice seemed lower then I remembered, but, well, computers change voices, my voice sounds way lower on a computer... (or my voice just sounds higher in my head)

Also, If the pot-cats could be on an hour that doesn't force me to go to sleep when I normally wake up, I might join.
 
Do I need something particular to listen to the podcast? The window that popped up from my clicking on the link on the front page is just attempting to load for all eternity. It could be something really obvious that I am failing to do, I don't know; I don't do that much listening to Mp3s from other people's sites. ^^;
 
Hmm. Podcast thoughts.

1. Jon, you dominated every conversation. It's good to chime in every now and then, but you should let the others conduct a nice conversation with each other.
2. R-e-l-a-x, I know how nervous it can be talking on a podcast, but everyone needs to relax, and take a few breathes in and out.
3. Try to fix the differences in voice loudness. Some people were barely heard while Jon was really loud.
4. Longer is not always better. I personally like 30 minute podcasts. I download a lot of podcasts, and it's nice not having to hear about the same subject for a hour, but to talk on a few subjects, then go onto the next podcast.
5. Some of the subjects were kind of really dumb. Pokemon Rev. animations? Who cares? A podcast should speak on important subjects that people actually wonder about.

Good job on the Podcast. There wasn't any static, or some problems, but it was still very basic. Looks like you can pull out a Podcast, so now you need to refine it and make it better for the next time.
 
hey i will be happy to join.. i know this kid named geoff sauk who was 2 place at worlds (10 and under) with zappy deck.. he is in my league. geoff and i share some strats together so. i will be happy to disccuss it. YEAH!

I posted a review on The Pokeblog about it:

There aren't that many Pokemon Podcasts and Pokebeach released their first one this morning so I decided to write a small review about it.

Format: conversation
Content: Pokemon Anime and TCG
Length: 30 - 45 minutes; (first one was 65)

The Host of the podcast is John (aka Water Pokemon Master) among other guests/friends which I am not sure if they'll become regular. It starts talking about the anime, in this case the Pokemon movies in general especially the ninth Pokemon movie about Lucario. Later they quickly touch the subject about the popularity of Pokemon and then go into discussing Diamond & Pearl including the Pokemon and their names. After that they start taking some calls with some generic questions, nothing good but not too bad. At the end they discuss the Trading Card Game, with some of the recent happenings.

The audio quality is not the greatest but its not bad, it could have been a lot worse, its listenable though one of the guests you could hardly hear. The music between segments was not bad as its taken from the Pokemon Anime though they are too long, they really need to just use clips of them.

Overall the PokeBeach podcast was not bad and shows some promise, I'll definately check it out. This was only their first try and the first episode will be recorded this saturday. You can't subscribe to it just yet but you can download it here:

Didn’t you hear? Piplup is confirmed. In the new Nintendo Power. If you go to Nintendopower.com and click Current Issue, then Creature Features, all 3 starters are pictured, with their names.
 
I'd like to sign up for the this Saturday's odcast, As you know, I was going to participate in the intro episode but it was too late. 12:30 AM+ to be exact. So, if it's always going to be that late, I will not be able to participate in any, sadly:(
 
Ouch... losing a hard drive sucks... I haven't had it happen yet, but I will probably eventually have to deal with it at one time or another. I hope you are able to get everything sorted out...

I won't be able to participate in the next podcast, but I should hopefully be able to participate in the one after that. With this intro, at least we have a bit of an idea of what we want to shoot for, both based on our own experiences and feedback from people that have listened to (or haven't listened to but will eventually) the podcast. I think with a bit of ingenuity and some careful planning, we can orchestrate some good podcasts.
