It's gaining Darkrai gx for more energy acceleration. You can also go back up to 4 max elixirs because garbodor nis going to be less of a threat post rotation. I don't think it's really losing much besides the things every deck is losing like vs seeker and trainers mail.
This will be a force in expanded. With 2 Battle Compressor, you can 3-4 Energy On the field depending on how many Elixiers you get. The only saving grace is Marshshadow, which gives any basic deck a big advantage over darkrai. Heck, if you played it with Maxie's to get Premonition Gallade you could just pile energy on.
