What should I pair with my Typhlosion deck?

I'm looking for something to make Typhlosion even better, and am not really sure what to run. Was thinking possibly Lanturn Prime to cover weakness and to hit for 100 every now and then.

You would be better off running 2-2 or 3-3 ninetails HS for consistency boost....

This is a weird idea I had about a year ago and still (barely) trying to make. Attach energy to Infernape PL, which charges up his first attack and adding to it's rage attack at the same time. Use Luxray X to do more damage to Infernape, making Rage epic.

Most people use Ninetales(HGSS) with Roast Reveal, then to get back with Afterburner, and Charizard(AR) as an attacker with {R}'s on the bench. You could even use Blissey PL to work w/ Afterburner. Hope I helped.

Typhlosion is more of a tech in Charizard than an attacker.
There aren't too many established decks built around Typhlosion, but you could use Ninetails, like everyone else has said, or Heatran Lv.X to get the fire energy back onto Typhlosion (either one) after its attack.

Ninetales HGSS for draw power. And heatran x is a good choice. You could do 120 everyturn and get both energies back. Try running lv. max or warppoints for heatran. uxie x is also good for draw power.

I used this deck, i had the heatrans typhloshions and a line of that blazikin to auto burn after a 120 hit with energy return. i had warp points and rare candies, the reason i droped this deck was its weakness to trainerlocks.

btw the infernape's rage is amazing with an expert belt when your warpointing and free retreat.

anyways i dropped the heatrans and put in 2 amphros with the 30dmg + 2 basic energy atached to your own and a prime amph that can damage them with their own energies, and can take off their energy cards similer to the typhlosion prime, just that can make a good dent on some decks.

the deck might need draw power, mine had noctowl, lol im sure you can do better

BTW the amph covers your weakness

Usually fire decks run ninetales for draw power. That was always a good idea. It has become even more important now because Claydol is gone.

The good fire decks:

Magmortar/Heatran X (this is not playable anymore though)
Blaziken (PL) / Heatran X
Charizard / Typhlosion Prime

Early on, the magmortar deck was the best fire deck around.
Today though, its all about Charizard.

Typhlosion is best used as part of the fire engine with either Charizard or Blaziken as the main attacker. I havent really tested Blaziken, but in theory it should perform similar to charizard, but maybe a tad slower.

This might seem like a weird idea but I think that a partner that would work well with Typhlosion would be Ambipom from Triumphant . First, it's colourless so if you see a lot of Garchomp C then it could be an easy way to KO it. Second, it's attack does 60 damage for a DCE and you discard 2 cards from your hand (ideally energy cards which you can attach using Afterburner).

Eh, 60 isn't such hot stuff, particularly for a Stage 1 while discarding 2 energy. 70 is a lot better while only discarding 1 and 1 from the opponent's 'Mon, since you're going to be using Typhlosion anyways. Maybe tech it in for GCX, but it doesn't help a whole lot aside from that.

I actually run magmortar from triumphant with typhlosion to try and get them to mill their deck. Mind it is only a fun deck

I would run Typhlosion Prime with Ursaring Prime. Use Typhlosion Prime's PokePower on Ursaring which activates Ursaring's Pokebody quickly. You will be doing +60 with Ursaring each turn!

how about Typhlosion Prime with Bellossom UN to make a fire grass deck. typhlosion prime uses afterburner and bellossom heals that 10 it did. INVINCIBLE!! use it with the Ho-oh legend and you do 100 each turn with no penalty

^Except Ho-Oh Legend only does 100 damage, and lots of other decks that don't get OHKO'd by that (basically all of them) 2HKO or OHKO Ho-Oh. And it's really tough to set that up. I'm not sure why you would use Bellossom (BTW, you meant UD, not UN), you might as well use Nidoqueen RR to remove 1 between every turn, which makes for twice as much healing as Bellossom. Overall, though, this is just too hard to set up (a Legend and 2 Stage twos), and doesn't even do a lot once it does.

its not that hard. just use some Proffessor elms Training in there then BTS. heck a poke radar would work well too. you just have to have 4 bellossom and 4 typhlosion. legend box or bronzong can set up the rest. its not that hard. it jsut takes time. Hooh legend has 140 so its not gonna die anytime soon so it should be fine dealing 100 each turn. and if its taht big of a deal then expert belt and then add Cherrim from Stormfront and you do 130 each turn.

^Uh... Elm's is your supporter, so only 1 per turn. That takes up a lot of time. Poké Radar is sort of unreliable. Bronzong is just not good, I've tried it and it gets KO'd way too fast. It gets the Ho-Oh Legend out, but really does't do much beside. 4 Bellossom and 4 Typhlosion is an awful idea. You'll have no space for T/S/S with all those Pokémon and energy you need. Ho-Oh Legend will get 2HKO'd by any moderately good deck, and Ho-Oh Legend only 2HKOs most main attackers. Cherrim takes up even more space, and E-Belt means you may 1-shot some decks (SP), but the others will still be 2-shot to 2-shot, and they'll get an extra prize. Plus, Ho-Oh is fairly tough to set up, even with Typhlosion.
