So i was browsing around at the promos in TCGONE and i came across tyrantrum ex:

i know it has been used competitively with bronzong in the past, but i think it could potentialy be viable in the current standard format. Here is the list i've been testing

1 Giratina -EX AOR 93
1 Zygarde FCO 52
2 Shaymin -EX ROS 106
2 Hitmonlee GEN 47
2 Tyrantrum -EX XYP 70

items: 27
4 Trainer's mail
4 Vs seeker
4 Ultra ball
4 Max elixir
4 Puzzle of time
2 Super Rod
3 Switch
2 Fighting Fury Belts
Supporters: 11
4 Profesor sycamore
2 N
2 Lysandre
3 Skyla

Stadiums: 2
2 Faded town

Energy: 12
8 Fighting Energy
4 Double Dragon energy

BEFORE YOU CALL ME BAD...
The strategy is to hit (i'm sorry that was horrible) the bench with hitmonlee onto the bench until you can power up a tyrantrum with the ddes and max elixirs. Using Faded town and ffb's you can ohko megas, and if it is a belted ex, then hitmonlee softens them up for a ohko with tyrantrum. Zygarde can help with the negitive fairy matchup and Giratina is helpful against mega decks and decks primarily using special energy.

CHANGES FOR STS (get sts already TCGONE!!!)
-1 super rod
+1 Special charge

A few thoughts for your consideration:
  • Hitmonlee or Zygarde are, I assume, your preferred starters since they are both 1-energy attachment attackers. So, enhance your chances of starting with 1 of these Pokémon by 1 more.
  • IMO, 2 Shaymin EX are not "critical" as much as they are "nice to have." With 4 Puzzle of Time, the second Shaymin EX seems excessive.
  • You may want to incorporate a Hoopa EX to help get your EX Pokémon out faster.
  • You may want to incorporate a Parallel City to get unwanted and/or wounded Pokémon off your bench.
  • You may want to incorporate an Energy Recycler and/or Special Charge.
  • You may want to incorporate a Ninja Boy and/or Pokémon Ranger too.
  • 3 Switch seem excessive. Consider replacing 1 of these with an Olympia.
  • 3 Skyla seem excessive.
Since Tyrantrum EX's attack requires the discarding of 3 energy (which may mean DDE and 2 other Basic), you'll need to reuse (and hit) your Max Elixirs. So, the management of your Puzzle of Time seem critical to your success. Play-test a lot against different decks to help you determine how viable this deck is to you.

Although not necessary, the second shaymin is nice, and I hate how there is a 10ish% chance that i can't get set up due to shaymin being prized. I do agree with adding one Hitmonlee, so thank you on that.

I was testing Hoopa and it gets lysandered too often, which can be a waste of either a puzzle or a switch.
If i didn't test using tcgone, as stated before, my changes would be - 1 super rod +1 special charge. I might consider a ninja boi, and I don't see any real issues excluding ranger. The skyla and switch counts are both tested and work very well. Trust me on that. I might even add another switch, if necessary. Olympia was something I also tested, but greatly preffered switch

Thanks for listening to my rambling
