The new Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon game is set to come out next month and is looking to be much more focused on the Ultra Beasts and hopefully this new set will too! We already know that this set will have 5 of it's GX cards as Ultra Beasts, and the assumption is that the three new UBs from the trailers, UBs Adhesive, Assembly, and Burst.
Personally I think that PTCG will continue the trend of giving small "legendary" Pokemon cards supporting effects, so UB Adhesive will probably be based around some kind of powerful supporting ability. Being called Adhesive I could see them going with some thing like "while UB Adhesive is on your bench your Tool cards cannot be removed by the effects of Pokemon abilities, attacks, or trainer cards." On the other hand it is a Poison type so there is the distinct possibility that it's just get some boring poisoning ability. Considering UBs all have prize based GX attacks I could see Adhesive inflicting a Poison that did damage based on the prizes taken by your opponent or something.
Assembly got the misfortune of being Rock/ Steel in the games, but this could mean it's either Fighting or Steel as a card. Either one could be very exciting. Considering it's size I'm thinking 3 retreat cost and, like most of the other Beasts highish attack costs. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it will be a Fighting type with an Ability lowers damage to other UBs. It's GX
Burst is going to be a fire type basic, which means it has a high potential for being splashed in Volc decks if it's any good. I'm pretty sure Burst is going to live up to his name and be all about big damage for big energy costs. His GX attack will either be damage based on the prizes you're drawn or damage based on the prizes your opponent has drawn.
I'm really hoping that there will be some UB support in this deck so here are my predictions for that!
Ultra Wormhole will probably be a stadium card. I can see it either giving UB free retreat or acting like a brooklet hill for UBs.
Beast Ball obviously will let you search for UBs, but I'm also hoping that it'll do something else too like let you attach an energy (or maybe it'll let you search for a UB and whatever new energy they come up with for UBs?)
Anything in particular you want to see for the UBs? Anything you're hoping for in this set? I think it's high time we got Alolan Marowak GX
