Hey guys, one card that interested me since it was released is Unfezant non-ancient trait from Roaring Skies

Does this cards second attack have potential in mill decks? It's a good disruption because it gets rid of energy and most pokemon will be stuck with the reset of energies, most pokemon need two or more energies to attack. is it any good?

I've played around with this Unfezant as a bit of a fun deck. I've found that you really need to be using Strong Wings every second turn as to not let your opponent overcome you with attacks. Note that most competitive Pokemon actually need only one Energy to attack, most often a single DCE.

Yeah it might make a good tech in decks like warlord also, yes most can attack for only a dce but a lot of the time the DCE's are either discarded (KO's or retreat) or attached to their pokemon so they have to luck out and hope to top deck it or get it off a supporter

That's not that difficult. Trust me, decks that run DCE are consistent enough even with Unfezant disrupting things to be getting their DCE often. Also, if you're trying to mill your opponent, you're not going to be Knocking them out, and I can assure you that your opponent will not be retreating by discarding a DCE often at all. You'd need a very specific deck engine (Enhanced Hammers, Jirachi Promo, or the like) to effectively nullify this.

good point forgot about that :p

It could make for a fun support pokemon but thats about it but how often would you need to reset?

Every two turns. Otherwise you will easily be overun by most decks. The faster DCE decks can also be a pain to deal with, but perhaps Barbarcle could be an option.

EDIT: This is if you are designing your deck around Unfezent. I'm not sure about teching it into a high output deck.

I suppose you can make a lock deck with this and control everything. I guess I'll try it out and see what can happen.
