Ruling Unown E(MT)

Ok, I have 2 questions to ask about Unown E regarding its Poke-Power.

Poke-Power EQUIP
Once during your turn(before you attack), if Unown E is on your Bench, you may discard all cards attached to Unown E & attach Unown E to 1 of your Pokemon as a Pokemon Tool card. As long as Unown E is attached to a Pokemon, that Pokemon gets +10 HP.

My question is:
1. Can we still equip Unown E even though it does not have any cards attached to it??

2. Unown E does not count as a KO pokemon when you attach it to 1 of your pokemon, right??

1. Yes. You still can use the EQUIP Poke-Power even though there is no any cards attached to Unown E.
2. No. When Unown E is attached to one of your pokemon, Unown E is now considered as Pokemon Tool. So when Unown E is discarded as a Pokemon Tool, Unown E is not knocked out...
