Ruling Unown G question.

Unown G says it stops all effects of an attack except damage. So if I have Pachirisu (GE) and I use his Smash short ability on a Poke with an Unown G tool card, would it do:

#1: 10 Damage and nothing else.
#2: 40 Damage and nothing else.
#3: 10 Damage and discard the Tool.
#4: 40 Damage and discard the Tool.

I am thinking it would do option 2 because Unown G doesnt stop damage, but stops the discard a tool effect.

Is this the same with Magmortar (SW and Level X)? And any other Poke with damage "effects" or added "effects" that do/add damage like Heatran, Lucario, Empoleon, etc.

Pachi won't remove it. It is being discarded from the Pokemon, therefore it is an effect on that Pokemon and so it is blocked.
Damage "effects" like "no retreat" or Special Conditions are blocked, too. Adding damage/sniping isn't an effect on the opponent's Pokemon and so it is not blocked.

^ You only stated half of it.

Pachi would deal the 40, since Unown G is unable to prevent damage, but it does prevent the effects of discarding the Unown G.

So you're right. It's #2
