After a bit of play testing, I've settled on the following Alolan Ninetales post-rotation build. I'd like some feedback please! Also, if you have your own Alolan Ninetales deck, feel free to post it in the comments so we can compare and share ideas.
Pokémon
Starting of with Alolan Ninetales, I decided on a 4-3(2) line with three GXs and 2 from Burning Shadows. I was initially only running one BUS Alolan Ninetales along with a Tapu Fini GX. I liked the idea of being able to snipe for 120 damage and felt that it's GX attack could come in handy against certain match-ups. However, I always opted to attach energy on Alolan Ninetales when having to decide between the two, as I felt it was more important, so I removed Tapu Fini and added in a second BUS Alolan Ninetales. I'm glad I did, because it's such an awesome card. I've completely shut down EX/GX heavy decks with it and forced my opponent to dedicate energy to Pokémon they don't want to, like Oranguru, at which point I bring in my Alolan Ninetales GX to handle it. If I can get one GX and one non-GX Alolan Ninetales on the field, I'm usually in a very good position. I'm running 3 Tapu Lele GX because they seems to be the standard now with VS Seeker out of the format. Tapu Koko is great for spreading damage and having free retreat, which is huge for this deck. Finally, I run a 1-1 line of Octillery for the draw support. I was running a 2-2 line, but I needed to make space in the deck. I haven't had too much difficulty getting Octillery out, and I feel like the deck still runs smooth without it on the field, although I obviously prefer to have it out.
Trainers
My Trainers are pretty self-explanatory. I was running Mallow, but since I dropped the Octillery count to 1-1, I felt that Mallow's effectiveness was reduced so I opted for two Skyla instead. Skyla is able to grab many key cards, like Aqua Patch, Field Blower, and Choice Band. It provides a similar role to Mallow.
I included two Rescue Stretcher for a couple reasons. Because I'm only running a 1-1 line of Octillery, I might have a turn where I have to Sycamore my Remoriad, Octillery, or even Alolan Ninetales pieces. Running two Rescue Stretcher allows me to be a little more consistent with getting those Pokémon out of the discard pile. I could remove one and add in another card, but it's worked well for me so far. All the other Trainer cards and counts are standard to fit the new format.
Energy
Nothing much to say here. 4 DCE and 8 Water Energy allows me to consistently draw into them.
