VGC Veteran Considering Trying OU

After a few years in VGC, and seeing the huge interest in tiers like OU, UU, etc., I thought I may try one out in downtime when VGC isn't going on. I do understand a few things about tiers, but which one is best for a noob? Is it a good idea to jump straight to OU, or are lower tiers even easier like I've assumed? As you can tell, I don't know that much about this style of battling. Any help you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.

RE: VGC Veteran Considering Trying Tiers

OU would be the best to learn in. The lower tiers are hard to work with, and have more variety. I guess it would all depend on how the n00b plays :)

I'd suggest that you try every tier, and find the one with your favorite Pokemon, or the one you feel most comfortable in.

I would jump right into OU. Copy a good rmt team and you'll learn quickly.

Hmm... OU is on Pokemon Online on most servers right? I'll try my hand when I get the chance.

Hey there Pokeplayer! I think that OU is the easiest to learn since it gives you most of the pokemon you could ask for. I'd try this online simulator that doesn't require any downloading. Don't think that you can only use OU Pokémon, Pokémon from OU-NU are all usable in OU.

I already have Pokemon Online, but thanks anyways. And I was aware of that. I'll definitely try OU since that's what everyone has recommended. I can forsee a team in RMT soon? I may do that, if I do I'll post a link to it on this thread.
