Vileplume/Beartic Lock.

I just got back into the game a few month ago and I know this deck has been hyped a lot.
Here is my version.

Pokemon:
Cleffa
Jirachi (CoL)
2 Zekrom
2-2 Zoroark (B/W)
2-2 Slowking (HGSS)
3-2-2 Vileplume (UD)
3-3 Beartick (Sheer Cold)

T/S/S
2 Rare Candy
3 PONT
3 Pokemon Collector
4 Judge
4 Twins
4 PETM

Energy
4 Rainbow Energy
4 DCE
7 Water

Concept is pretty basic. Get Vileplume out asap and then have Beartic sweep. Use Zekrom late in game if need be. Jirachi is there to counter Yanmega, Donphan, Gothitelle so on and so forth. Slowking is there to manipulate their draw. Also, I'm running the 3-2-2 with Vileplume in case one of my oddish's get sniped.

Cards I've considered
Juniper
Cheren
Team Rocket Trickery
Copy Cat
Pokemon Communication
Sages Training
Pichu
1-1 Dodrio Line

Any feedback is more than appreciated. I'm trying to get a general consensus of what the deck list should look like before I buy the rest of the cards I need.

So you're looking for advice, huh? Let me try to help you out, but bear with me, I'm not too experienced with Bearplume.

First, I don't understand how many Cleffa and Jirachi you're running. I would just focus on Beartic and Vileplume; adding anything else decreases this deck's overall consistency. So I'd remove the following:

- however many Cleffa you're running
- however many Jirachi you're running
- 2 Zekrom

Since these cards don't really help the deck's strategy, I'd just remove them. Slowking is questionable, since the topdeck shouldn't be too important, but do what you want. The Pokemon line should be like this now:

3 - 3 Beartic EP
3 - 2 - 2 Vileplume UD
2 - 2 Zoroark BW
2 - 2 Slowking HGSS

That way you can lock their Trainers, lock their attacks, and lock their topdeck. Zoroark is fine, I suppose, but you'll definitely want to up your Beartic line to 4-4, since you always want a Beartic ready. If it isn't happening, your deck is having problems.

4 Professor Elm's Training Method is just disgusting in my eyes. It just doesn't help, and it takes up your Supporter for the turn. I'd remove them all, to be honest.

- 4 Professor Elm's Training Method

There's other cards you can add that will help this deck's consistency. Try adding:

+ 1 Rare Candy
+ 1 - 1 Beartic EP
+ 1 Pokemon Communication

Now you'll need 2 more Communication. I think it's safe to drop 2 Water Energy, or a split of 1 Rainbow / 1 Water Energy for them. This way, you can get Vileplume T2, and possibly a T2 Beartic.

Now you have 2 spots, plus however many of the Cleffa and Jirachi you're running. Consider some Pokemon Catcher for early game, or some Cheren for drawpower outside of hand refresh.

Hope this helped.

Zekrom as an anti-Yanmega tech is extremely ineffective without Reuniclus (or Donphan). While the idea is to use Outrage on Yanmega, as soon as the Yanmega player sees Zekrom, that player would simply just not snipe it.

Lastly, I don't get the point of Jirachi. You can't use its Power in this deck, since you run no Psychic Energy, and since you aren't sniping, there's no point to Jirachi. Increase your Communication count. While this is a Trainer-lock deck, use Communication to help setup your Vileplume/Beartic/whatever before Vileplume comes out.

So.
- Jirachi (I was only running 1)
-Cleffa (Same, only 1)
- 2 Zekrom
- 4 PETM

+ 1-1 Beartic Line
+1 Rare Candy
+2 Catcher
+3 Communication

That works. You should probably listen to Gliscor, you know, him being a member and all, he's got ome good stuff packed in his brain. I thought about keeping Zekrom there, but I think the main focus should just be Beartic and Vileplume.

Yeah. I use to play the game waaay back in the day. I stopped right around Expeditions or the set after. I decided to get back into the game though because where I live there is a pretty large scene for Pokemon here and one of my friends is the main judge for our area. He convinced me to get back into the game; though honestly it didn't take much convincing. Haha

The build looks good though. Thanks again for all the advice.
