The power is attach a {G} and sleep attach a {P} and Poisoned, but if you attach a multi energy

does it count as both energy or one?
 
It counts as every Energy, so yes, both effects will activate. However, if you already have a special Energy card on Vileplume, it counts a {C} Energy, so the effect won't happen then.
 
Read Multi. "Provides every type of Energy, but provides only 1 Energy at a time." That means you choose either Grass or Psychic and use Vileplume's effect.

I probably got that wrong, but I'm hoping for a lucky break from the Masters.

Incorrect. The moment you attach the energy, you must choose the type for when the poke-power activates. That's where the one energy at a time part of Multi comes into play.
 
Actually, I believe both effects activate. It's like in the case of Houndoom and Cacturne. Both effects activate.

Multi Provides both types, so why wouldn't it work? It works, I can find you a link on the gym, if you like.
 
It works. It's the same as Houndoom - GE's 2nd attack discarding both types of energy.

Attaching the energy is like discarding, it provides 1 energy but every type of energy so both affects will activate, if you choose them to, remember it says may so you can choose to do one without doing the other depend ing on your situation
 
I would think that you would get both effects, however, I'm unsure of the Errata on that one and I don't want to give you mis-leading advice.

I would say that you could have both effects, but theres a nagging feeling telling me that you can't, even if a card states it is "every energy" it is only ONE card, therefore...to me, it would be logical to say you pick which effect you recieve.
 
Multi Energy provides all energy at the same time. You don't declare what energy you want. It's all the colours all the time-unless there is a special energy already attached.
