Strategy:

Use Virizion EX to charge your other attackers and use techs to swing the match in your favor.

Obviously this build has some differences from your normal Virizion/Etc list but I'll do my best to explain my choices.

Pokemon - My variety of attackers allows me to meld my style of play deppending on the deck I'm facing. I run 2 Mewtwo EX as my main attackers and 2 Genesect EX secondarily (as well as for Red Signal). Then we have my non-ex attackers, which I run to combat Safeguard and throw off the prize trade. Bouffalant is a solid choice, making use of DCE and hitting EXs hard. Genesect is probably the oddball. I like it because it has so many uses. It's a superior non-ex against Blastoise and it can OHKO on its own, which is something this deck lacks. Mr. Mime is self explanatory, then we have Spiritomb. I find that the only deck I really have an issue with is VirGen w/G Booster. Spiritomb gives me the edge needed to overcome that match-up.

Trainers - I use LaserBank to increase my damage output. It helps push to the numbers this deck can't really hit otherwise. 2 Energy Switch and Scramble Switch help me set up suprise attackers and take full advantage of my 2 Max Potions which help to rob my opponents of KOs. 2 Tool Scrapper helps a lot more than some might think. Against decks like Plasma and Garbodor it almost guarantees the win and (in combination with Spiritomb) it prevents that ever hated G Booster. The one Silver Bangle is there to help me hit magic numbers for OHKOs. Bouffalant + Banlge + Laserbank = 180. Genesect + 5 Grass + Bangle = 180. This comes into play quite a lot and it's very helpful.

Energy - I run a little more than recommended but I don't find it ever really effecting me negativiely. The DCEs and Grass are obvious. I chose to run the Plasmas over Catchers because they are a sure thing and it granted me extra space. Also running so much energy allows me to usually attach every turn even after I'm done accelerating most of my grass with Virizion, which can be a big deal, especially when it comes to Mewtwo.

So that's it, my weird Virizion build. Let me know what you think.

Nice deck. Following are some thoughts for your consideration:

-1 Spiritomb. An in-play Spiritomb also blocks usage of your Scramble Switch... Is that what you really want? In addition, as a VirGen deck player, I could easily Red Signal your Spiritomb to the active position, 1HKO Spiritomb, and then G Booster thereafter. IMHO, it's not worth the card slot in your deck.

-1 Skyla. Although 4 enhances your chances of drawing into one, 3, IMHO, are sufficient (especially when you only have 8 card-drawing Supporters).

-1 Energy Search. You have only G basic energy; so, you are not getting the full benefit of this card versus just adding another G energy.

+1 Super Rod. You will need an extra to help recycle discarded energy and/or Poké.

+2 Bianca / Colress. Should you find you need more card-drawing support.
-- or --
+1 Bianca / Colress, and
+1 Mewtwo EX (needed in mirror match or against other Team Plasma decks)
-- or --
+1 Bianca / Colress, and
+1 Max Potion.

Lastly, don't forget that your Mewtwo EXs are in 1HKO range as soon as you attach just 2 energy onto that Poké for some Team Plasma deck players who run P energy too just for those situations... :)

First I'd like to thank you for your insight.

I don't find myself needing draw support as much as I need a single card. This isn't a deck that needs multiple cards to work and any combos I need I can easily complete using a Skyla. So I like the 4th Skyla over anything else.

Speaking of Skyla, Energy Search is a card I can pull out with it in cases where I need the energy but wouldn't have it otherwise. I can't grab an 11th grass with Skyla and that's why I run the E Search over it.

Spiritomb is a hard card to play, you have to know when to put it down. Usually I'll lay it down after my Scarmble is gone or ASAP in the VirGen match up. You made solid points which are issues that do come up (and I've been the fence about this card) but at this point I'd rather my opponent go through all that trouble to get off a G Booster than just play it down like nothing. Especially when 95% of my losses to VirGen are a direct result of G Booster.

I wouldn't mind having a 3rd Mewtwo but I've decided to run the Genesect LTR over it. I find that the role a 3rd Mewtwo plays is easily filled by Genesect, even better in some cases. In situations where oposing attackers have 0 or 1 energy Genesect hits harder and with Bangle and Laser I get OHKOs like nobody's business.
