I personally do not like the scorched earth. I usually run sky fields with hoopa and shaymin. I have been working on running
octillery in the deck with dive balls to search him and volcanion out. You need four sycamore in the deck it's just the most consistent card.
Cut : two professor letters for two energy retrieval. Cut one ninja boy for another sycamore. Cut the scorched earth for two or three sky field. I'd get rid of one flareon ex, cut one lysandre and the Giovanni, and try to add in a 2-2 line of octillery
 
i have a good volcanion deck that works well. it sets up well aswell and is consistant and looks alot like the one sandy is talking about. no shaymins at all, and no hoopa. you could cut one energy for a flareon ex, but i would debate it is not neccecary the decklist is this:

I personally think you are going to want more than 1 or 2 Float Stones, just because Volcanion-EX cannot attack on its second turn. Being able to rotate them out would help you if you have to attack with them. You are going to want 4 Trainers' Mail - that has become a staple for any deck. I personally do not care for Scorched Earth either, I'd think it would be better if you played Parallel City or Sky Field.
 
Ive found 2 floatstones to be sufficient when you have 1 switch and olympia in the deck
Bcs it allows you to use fury belt on them too
