So, I have played Volcanion-EX for this entire season and I think Volcanion's just prepared to blow up in standard. It's natural predators Gardevoir-GX & Garbodor variants are on the steady decline. And metal decks are ready to steal BDIF when Ultra Force drops. So here's my current list looking for improvements.

Pokemon (12)
4x Volcanion-EX
3x Volcanion
2x Turtonator-GX
2x Tapu Lele-GX
1x Oranguru

Trainers (34)
4x N
4x Professor Sycamore
4x Guzma

4x Ultra Ball
4x Max Elixir
4x Fighting Fury Belt
2x Energy Retrieval
2x Enhanced Hammer
2x Field Blower
2x Float Stone
1x Switch
1x Super Rod

Energy (14)
14x Fire Energy

Potenial Cards:
Pal Pad
Crushing Hammer

What do you think about running ho-oh gx and kiawe? It’s nice being able hit 190 with just a fighting fury belt. Or doing 210 with just one steam up.

I've had Ho-oh and Kiawe in my deck for a while but now I find it better to leave them out. Reaching those big numbers suddenly aren't as important since we will be hitting things for weakness. As for Kiawe one is to little and will be next to impossible to find when you need it, and two is to many and one is going to end up not being used. As such I decided to cut them for some more consistency cards. If you really wanted to add them I would recomend:

-1 Guzma
-2 Enhanced Hammer

+1 Ho-oh-GX
+2 Kiawe

Nah, Ho-oh and Kiawe are a must have here. Newgaleo got postponed to October, so Glaceon will be popular. I wouldn't play more than a 1-1 split of them, but 1 of each are effective enough. I actually don't even see this deck running Cynthia because 1. It's completely inferior to both Sycamore and N, and 2. If you N yourself to a low hand, Oranguru picks up your hand count, and 3. Volcanion doesn't need any extra draw power. If you're only play 2 Energy Retrieval, drop the card altogether for a Starmie line, or play 4. You can honestly drop to 2 baby Volc, since Max Elixir and Nitro Tank put in work. And you'll never use more than 2 copies a game. Even if you prize one, you're still better off with the extra space. Here are my reccomendations:
-1 Volcanion
-1 Switch(4 Guzma and 2 Floats got you covered, believe me)
-1 Field Blower(1 is sufficient since Garb is dying, and/or dead. And you always have 4 Guzma anyway)
-1 Fury Belt(extra HP is nice, but everything aims to do in the field of 120, or completely knock things out. And Steam Up has you easily covered on damage)

+1 Ho-oh GX(Water kills you without it, and it only needs 1 Steam Up to knock every key card in the meta out)
1 Kiawe(you should be playing this as a one-of anyway since you have no T1 supporter, and putting 3-4 Energy on the field on your first turn puts a lot of pressure on the opponent)
+2 Energy Retrieval(or keep the Fury Belt and Blower, and drop these for a 1-1 Starmie)
