Standard Volcanion/Flareon in 2018

I was out of the game for the last year, and just picked it up again this past week. I was playing in Expanded for a bit, until I noticed that my Volcanion deck is still in format. I retooled it for Standard and it seems to be doing pretty well; it just needs a few tweaks to get a little consistency.

Pokémon: 12
  • 4 Volcanion
  • 3 Volcanion-EX
  • 2 Flareon
  • 1 Oranguru
  • 1-1 Starmie
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums: 37
  • 4 Professor Sycamore
  • 4 N
  • 3 Guzma
  • 3 Fighting Fury Belt
  • 2 Float Stone
  • 3 Max Elixir
  • 3 Nest Ball
  • 2 Ultra Ball
  • 2 Field Blower
  • 2 Energy Retrievals
  • 2 Switch
  • 1 Escape Rope
  • 1 Rescue Stretcher
  • 1 Professor's Letter
  • 1 Town Map
  • 3 Scorched Earth
Energy: 11
  • 11 Fire Energy
A couple things I already know:
It needs a Tapu Lele. I'm getting one soon, and subsequently swapping the Nest Ball/Ultra Ball tallies.
I should consider swapping out the Fighting Fury Belts for Choice Bands. It's a toss up for me, since both have been effective.
INB4 "Energy Retrieval?!" But it helps when I can't get Starmie out (which happens far too often) or when there's 3 Volcanion-EX on the bench, and I need that extra Steam Up

My biggest problem right now is consistency. The worst problem is making sure a baby Volcanion is out first turn with an energy on it, and at least one in the discard.
