Welcome to the first round in the competition to find out just who is PokeBeach's Favorite Pokemon! In the nomination round, you all cast your votes and I, along with help from random.org, narrowed down that massive list to the 32 most popular entries.

So, what now, you ask? Again, it's quite simple. Each of the 32 Pokemon was randomly paired up with a second Pokemon to be its opponent in the competition. Your job is to decide which Pokemon out of those two you like better, and then vote for it. Then move on to the next bracket, vote for your favorite, and so on until you've voted for all the brackets.

To cast a vote, just PM me and make it obvious to me which Pokemon in the pair you want to vote for. Keep your brackets numbered and in order!

No, you cannot abstain from any vote. You must cast either no votes or sixteen votes.
No, you cannot vote for both Pokemon in one bracket.
No, you cannot cast your vote in-thread.
No, you cannot submit some of your votes now and some of them later. All 16 must be submitted at once.
No, you cannot change your vote once you submit.
Yes, you may post predictions in-thread.

Vote PMs sent that do not have 16 votes will not count.
Votes cast in-thread will not count.
Votes submitted to me through profile messages will not count.

"What criteria should I use when voting?"

Use whatever criteria you like. Competitive ability, design, moves, card art (if any), anime appearances... I don't really care what you use to make your decision as long as your vote PM follows the guidelines listed above.

Voting ends Saturday, November 2, 2013, at noon CST.

Regigigas vs Mega Charizard X and Metagross vs Venasaur are going to be the closest matchups for sure. Also, I'm suprised one of the Deoxys or Kyurem forms didn't make the cut

Why did Dusknoir have to face Charizard round 1? ;_; Hopefully Typhlosion and Jirachi can survive a couple rounds.

I've also upset both Typhlosion and Jirachi, because I like upsetting people I actually like Rayquaza and Gyarados more :|

What happens if votes are tied in a pairing? Probably not gonna happen but I can't see if you've specified the outcome of a tie

I can't see it winning

It may beat Arcanine (altho if it does then I am not happy) but I can only see it lasting 2-3 rounds max

No, I did not specify. If the vote is tied, then I'll have an outside source break the tie.
