Ok, so my friend and I were playing and my friend uses a warp point and claims that he gets to choose the pokemon that I switch out for me. He supports this crazy stuff by saying "It does not say 'your opponent chooses' so I get to choose for you." I think he is wrong and that each player chooses for themselves, so who is right here?

The card clearly says "Your opponent switches 1 of his or her pokemon", not "you switch one of his or her pokemon". So what's there to argue?

The Warp Point user does not get to choose the opponents pokemon.

Warp Point states "Each player switches their Active Pokemon with one of their benched Pokemon". If it said "You switch each player's Active Pokemon with one of their benched Pokemon", he could choose, but if each player switches their own, each player chooses their own. You get to choose.

You are correct. He can't choose your benched Pokemon, you can. He can only choose his.

I think it's each player chooses for themselves because it clearly state that;
Warp Point said:
Your opponent switches 1 of his or her Defending pokemon with 1 of his or her benched pokemon, if any. You switch 1 of your Active Pokemon with 1 of your benched pokemon, if any.

Everyone is right.
