I run a water deck and since the last 2 set releases (as well as getting my but handed to me at a hobby league) I thought that it was time to update the deck. I really don't know what direction to go in and if some of the cards recommended are not to expensive I might be able to get them. Here is the deck

Pokemon
Blastoise x 2
Wartorle x 2
Squirtle x 2
Feraligatr (Prime) x 2
Croconaw x 2
Totodile x 2
Bertic x 2 (Sheer Cold Bertic)
Cubchoo x 2
Zekrom x 2
Patrat x 2
Watchog x 2

Trainers/Supporters
Fisherman x 2
Pokemon Collector x 2
Great Ball x 1
Copycat x 3
Professors Elm Training Method x 4
Pokemon Communication x 2
Pokeball x 2
Professor Oak's new theory x 2

Energy
Double Colorless x 1
Water Energy x 20

I have been looking into some of the new sets and I have had ideas of putting in Vanilluxe (newest one), Jellicant, Kyurem (Instead of Zekrom) Samurotts, Floatzel, Carracosta, and politoad. I know that is a lot of pokemon to think about but I think that these would be great options that I could use to replace some of what I have. (and maybe come up with a new strategy.) I would love to hear what ideas you have that could help me.

RE: Water Deck.

I'm not so sure about all the 2-2-2 lines. I think cobalion would be a lot better than bear tic actually so maybe that would be better with some rainbow energy? What's watchog for again? Its not really needed.

-2-2 watchog (not really needed IMO)
-1 great ball (not that great IMO)
-3 copycat (there are better drawing supporters)
-4 PETM (communication is way better)
-2 pokeball (too flippy)
-8 water energy (20 is way too many)
-0-1-0 feraligater (better IMO)
-1 fisherman

+2 twins (good for setting up since there are 2 stage 2s)
+2 communication (better than PETM)
+2 cilan (good with feraligater)
+3 rare candies (setting up faster)
+1-0-1 feraligater (think its better and safer)
+2 kyurem (think it goes great with this deck)
+3 junk arm (recycling)
+7 drawing power (definitely need more)

1 extra space for anything that I missed. Hope I helped.

RE: Water Deck.

That does help but what about this idea.

Vanilluxe x 2
Vanillish x 2
Vanillite x 2
Bertic x 2
Cubchoo x 2
Squirtle x 2
Wartartle x 2
Blastoise x 2
Staryu x 2
starmie x 2

Total: 20

Supporters/Trainers

Fisherman x 2
Pokemon Collector x 2
Dual Ball x 2
Rare Candy x 3
Professor Oak's new theory x 2
Twins x 2
Pokemon Communication x 2
Dual Ball x 2
Junk Arm x 2
Total: 19

Energy

Double Colorless x 4
Water Energy x 17

Total: 21

Want to work in a a Kyurem and a flotzel for energy acceleration

Maybe Ferligator would be better than blastoise.

RE: Water Deck.

Wayyy to many energy. Instead of dual ball I would use collector for consistency and I would replace staryu and starmie and some bear tic with vileplume if this deck is mainly focused on vanilluxe. I'd cut some energy for more drawing supporters.

RE: Water Deck.

Please add the names of the main Pokémon to the title.
