Pokémon (14):
  • 1 Shinning Volcanion (beatdown)
  • 1 Tapu Fini GX (beatdown)
  • 3 Silvally GX (beatdown)
  • 3 Type: Null (beatdown)
  • 2 Lapras GX (beatdown)
  • 2 Tapu Lele GX (search)
  • 1 Oranguru (beatdown)
  • 1 Keldeo (beatdown)
Trainer (32):
  • 4 Professor Sycamore (draw)
  • 3 Professor Kukui (draw)
  • 1 Bridgette (search)
  • 3 Guzma (control)
  • 3 N (draw)
  • 2 Fighting Memory (beatdown)
  • 2 Psychic Memory (beatdown)
  • 1 Rescue Stretcher (retrieval)
  • 3 Choice Band (beatdown)
  • 4 Aqua Patch (accelerate)
  • 2 Field Blower (control)
  • 4 Ultra Ball (search)
Energy (14):
  • 4 Double Colorless Energy
  • 10 Water Energy

STRATEGY:

Start with either Lapras GX or Type Null and use Tapu Lele GX to set up with Bridgette. Search out Type Null and two additional attackers. Accelerate with Turbo Drive and Aqua Patch and hit the bench with Tapu Fini GX and Shinning Volcanion. Silvally GX enables all Basic Pokémon to retreat: Lapras GX and Silvally GX are able to ohko with Rebellion GX and Blizzard Burn.

What is the advantage of using Silvally over Manaphy-EX (a basic) in this deck? And why no Max Elixir? Also, Shining Volcanion is terrible.

Hi joffreyspikes,

The benefit is to have another potent attacker that can hit for two additional weaknesses and also accelerates to the bench at the same time. Shinning Volcanion helps a lot with the numbers since it can hit two Pokémon for 50 damage to set up consecutive knock outs with Silvally GX and the other two attackers. This deck is in essence a water variant of Silvally GX with some bench sniper attacks.

Interesting take on a Silvally GX deck.

-1 Shining Volcanion
-1 Keldeo

+1 Lapras GX
+1 Tapu Lele GX

Neither Shining Volcanion or Keldeo offer much besides making the deck clunky. You already have a bench sniper with Tapu Fini GX, and the third Tapu Lele GX adds consistency.

I'd maybe try and fit 2-3 Max Elixir, just to help with acceleration from the deck to their bench.
