G'day folks! This is Elite Stride dropping in to let you music lovers know that I will be taking over this thread and maintaining the playlists for SR. SR, is stepping away for a while to free up time for more pressing matters, so you're stuck with me for now (smile). Please continue to post your weekly recommendations for the playlists as usual. Please note that due to the slight confusion this week, submissions will be open through Saturday, and be posted on Sunday. Next week we will be back to the usual schedule (Friday at midnight). What kind of musical tastes do you have? Each week we'll take recommendations for a playlist surrounding a theme. At the end of the week a new playlist will be posted taking in account all of the recommendations from our members. This is a great way to share and try out new music!

Post 1-10 recommendations for the playlist each week. As far as the content of the music, just don't post anything too explicit or hateful. Music of all genres welcome. At the end of the week a list of links to the selected music will be posted. Elite Stride will be arranging the playlist. Each weekly playlist will have up to 15 songs. Be sure to include the TITLE and ARTIST or just the YouTube video when you recommend a song. Feel free to recommend a theme for next week's playlist as well.

If you want to look up the Finale of the New World Symphony by Antonin Dvorak, it's pretty legit. (for a nerdy music major like myself.) It was written about the first Moon trip, which was something that nobody had ever done in the entire history of the planet at the time. So... overcoming all odds. :x

This looks like a fun project. I'll start with this one VGM that first came to mind when I saw the theme. If I come up with anymore, I'll add them here.

This song plays right after the main character's older sister dies. As you can probably imagine, he's pretty devastated by the loss, as said sister also played the role of the mother in the family.
