Unconfirmed but that is my theory. I think I understood what you said at least.

And yeah I know this is not confirmed, though we also don't know to what extent scum were given claims. To me, I figured if he had a safe claim, that it didn't contain a QT ability (Mason), hence why he didn't claim... But yeah, scum not having safe claims wouldn't surprise me either.

Triple post I know, but my claim also had a typo, though it was a significantly less noticeable typo than a missing space bar.

I didn't notice it until I really re-read my role.

I think he means that somehow "withThe" is on different lines in his role pm. I tried to make them appear on different lines (with there being no space between them) but was unable to do that.

Right, well they aren't on different lines in mine, or in any other Role we've seen thus far, and a typo like what you're describing would have and should have been picked up by a host.

So sounds like scum.

Picked up by hosts or the player. Due to the mistake in my PM I think a mistake could have slipped past the host but something with half of it bolded should have immediately been caught by either the player or hosts.

They shouldn't be on different lines. I c/pd his claim into my inbox to try and see what happened. Then I checked on mobile. Then I tried with other words. I couldn't make it split things without a space.

But a mistake that noticeable like a missing space bar or a missing "enter" key would be highly noticeable one would think... Someone should have picked up on it...

Apologies for lurking the last few days. I'm here now.

I noted that simsands' claim lacks a passive ability. Did I misread the OP? Is it just locked?

As for the typo, I would think that tgk and Celever would type it out with spaces after every word. Even if there's a line break on a phone or something, there should still be a space there that would transfer over when copy-pasting.

I'm still going to abstain from voting for now, though.

And sorry if any of this has already been said; I was skim-reading the last page or so.

Guys I have a theory. I think that simsands is marth. But I also think he is scum! Think about it, the hosts never said the bad guy characters were master hand's minions, he only said they were characters. That's why there are no safe claims. The only safe claim is your character with a different allignment and an ability taken out. I think simsands got his original role and tweaked the allignment. And coincidently, the spelling error is right where the alignment part is. It's just a theory but I think its a solid enough one.

^^ This actually makes sense.

Good themed games generally have strong safe claims, or claims were commonly known "good" characters are bad (I once ran a Superhero themed game that included Batman as a Villain for this exact purpose).

This would also make sense if Bowser was Drac's Safe Claim, but claiming Bowser would look extremely suss.

Though your post has an issue.. The hosts have not confirmed that scum have or don't have safe claims, so you shouldn't speak with such certainty that there aren't Safe claims (unless you are scum and know this for certain)

I assume there are no safe claims because GM didn't post one. I could be wrong but if there weren't any safe claims, I think I have a very plausible theory.

That theory actually makes a lot of sense. I would do that as a host tbh :p
Plus, I remember Luis' game had Harry Potter as scum (though it was because of an alignment-change Ability).
Another argument, in all the games where I've been scum, I've had no Passive Abilities with any townie use whatsoever so I just took them out of the claim. Soooo
I fully agree with TFP.

##unvote Simsands

We were at L-1 with Pineapples vote so I'm unvoting to prevent a hammer situation.

Thoughts on Pineapple's Theory? @SilverSilent (see you lurking there :p)

In all honesty, it does make sense. It wouldn't be unheard of someone making 'good' characters evil. My thing is that if he is hammered and comes back town, well now you have one theory out the window.
