Ruling What are Trainers?

I am having a lot of trouble with this one. Over and over, I see that there are cards that say (Trainers, Pokemon Tools, Stadiums, etc.) But I have NO IDEA what they are referring to?

Scenario 1:

I have Spiritomb active, and it's my opponents turn. (It's not his "first" turn) So, if he attaches a Pokemon Tool to his pokemon, does that count as a Trainer? And is it negated because of Spiritomb's Poke Body?

Scenario 2: I have Spiritomb active, and he plays a Stadium. (Again, not his "first" turn). So is he allowed to play that? Or does Spiritomb's Poke-Body stop it? See where I'm goin' with this?

I don't understand what cards are not allowed to be played. When there is a card in play that says TRAINERS? HELP ME OUT PLEASE! :D
 
Trainers are all cards that say trainer at the top. It includes TMs and Tools in addition to normal trainers.

When Spiritomb is active you can only play Supporters and Stadiums. You can't play tools, tms, and other cards that say trainer at the top. Spiritomb does not negate any effects that are already in play such as Expert Belt.~Mark
