hey guys, i collected pokemon cards back in elementary school
unfortunately nothing of real value
i was only in on the first 2 sets, base set and fossil.
back in middle school graduated back to magic the gathering, then yugioh when it came out a few following years later.
i still play yugioh casually (exodia)
and a standard magic the gathering deck (friday night magic casually)
i have a bunch of pokemon cards from 1998-2001ish
took a look at the deck lists of the 2012 world championship tournament winning decks and was suprised to see that i have many of the cards that are in those decks (all the energy cards, most of the trainers like switch and various potions)
question 1:
ARE THESE CARDS ALL LEGAL FOR TOURNEMNET PLAY? (FOSSIL AND BASE SET TRAINERS ETC)
question 2:
WHAT FORMAT ARE "LEAGUES" ONLY 1 OF 4 COMIC BOOK STORES IN THE AREA PLAY POKEMON, WHAT DO I HAVE TO HAVE TO JOIN A LEAGUE FOR CASUAL FORMAT PLAY? 60 CARD DECK OF ANY CARDS? OR STANDARD FORMAT ONLY? BLACK/WHITE FORWARD?
