I know it's a bit early, but I'm hoping to do really good this year so I want to make sure my deck is picture perfect. Right now I'm leaning tward Overgrowth (Tangrowth), Mother Gengar, Raybees, and maybe Flytrap. I really like the idea od Overgrowth though, 140 dmg a turn and 190HP that restors itself sound really good to me.

I think Donphan HGSS will be a good deck for the premier tournaments. Paired with Ursaring Prime, it has great balence, and will dominate IMO.

^ Might be a bit slow though, and with the currant meta-game that deck will get ripped apart. (Bright look to Ursarang, Swallow up to 1HKO, etc.)

We have two sets (or at least I think so =p) before the format rages and then settles down. Just wait.

Yeah, I agree with Lunar Wing. Too many new format changing cards will come out in HG/SS. Its a bit too soon to tell.

But I possibley see a combo with Amphy Great and Nidoqueen. Or somthing to that idea.

yeah like people said from above its wayyyyyy to early to determine what the meta is going to be for nats and worlds

BTW, R+V for the win :p

It'll probably be some sort of Flygon variant since DCE will help it tremendously, but its hard to say for sure. G&G variants, and water anything with feraligator prime, are all possible too. Blissey prime will help energyless gyarados, speedrill, and expert kingdra quite a bit. Palkia G lock is still a solid deck.

It will be something from the May set. It always has, it always will. Chances are nothing today will be played then, so just wait for it.

Gardevoir was released in the May set? Huh, imagine that...
Jolteon Ex/Absol Ex were released in that year's May sets too? Funny...

Yeah, by far not always :p

Just work on your deck for now, if you find time to test in about a month when we know what our may set will probably be then maybe test a bit. But there's like a month and a half gap between Regionals and Nationals which is plenty of time to test. Spring Battle Roads also gives the metagame out more. Right now the metagame isn't even that clear if you have a good amount of average+ players so I'd probably wait. Unless you're rich or luckily close to the tournament location remember that you do have to win a States or two or place 1st-2nd at Regionals to go to Nationals anyway. So I'd definitely start preparing for that instead.

^^Thats a lie I think. Anyone can go to nationals I believe, because they had over 1000 players, and there are not 1000 state champs/1st-2nd place regionals across the country. Anyone can enter nats. Its WORLDS that needs an invite.

T_T

O haha. RIGHT...But you don't have to win anything to enter. So you can live on the opposite side of the country and STILL get in. Just saying. There is NO invite.
