By this, I mean the kids that are about ten or under.

My opinion is that they partially annoy me. Though it is kind of the Parent's fault, by just bringing the kid in without even partially trying to teach them how to play. Whenever a new child comes to the League, I have to sit down and wait for someone that is not an easy defeat to finish up and let me battle them.

I think it's nice that young kids learn to play the game. It just means that in Seniors they aren't making stupid plays any more, because they've already been in the league for about a year already [at least].

The only ones that annoy me are the ones that do soooooooooo good in juniors, because they have no competition in their area, and so they go to worlds and then persist on bragging about it for years afterwards. There's one like this in my area, but he's fortunately gotten a lot better.

This is how the game continues. Do you want to continue playing Pokemon? Then you better be grateful that little kids are interested in the game!

Yes I do want to continue playing it, but I want the kids to not ruin my fun just because they were too lazy to not read the rules.

I did read the rules when I started playing. The only thing that was wrong was that I didn't know about 'illegal cards'

I think little kids bring enthusiasm to the game and leagues. It also reminds us that Pokemon is widespread in its appeal to people of all ages. Sure, they can be overbearing and annoying at times, but hey, we were all kids at one point.

I welcome kids to my league. It brings in new players who love the game and have a lot of fun. And c'mon, who else is going to get excited over worthless holos :p

I welcome kids into the league I lead. Sure you may have to teach them the rules, but after that its all fun. I try and have a fun deck not necessarily competitve one with me. It makes it more fun than just always playing PorygonZ. Sometimes I end up forgetting. As the league leader, I try and make sure everyone is having fun and try and get them engaged in trading or battling ,be it the TCG or video games.

I like Juniors for the most part. They are all really nice, and not as creepy as some master players. There are certain cocky/annoying/babyish people I don't care for, but I think Junior players also best represent the morals of pokemon. I've never seen a Junior purposely cheat, and if you've ever played one, you know that they start a conversation with you when playing. They play to have a good time, and to act silly, rather than getting stressed and everything. Little kids will be little kids, we have to be kind and understanding to them, as we would want the same thing if we were that age.

I know quite a few players under 10 that have won 5+ cities and 2 states...

I could care less is they don't know how to play. Then just teach them.

I hate the kids who brag because they are so good. There's little to no competition in juniors IMO.

Geez, I don't know how old you are, but there's no reason to get annoyed by the younger generation, whether you're in Seniors or Masters division.

If it's their first time playing, even if they've read the rulebook, they might still struggle with understanding the game. It's just a phase, and eventually they'll understand the rules. I'm sure even you had your questions about game mechanics when you first started playing; if you didn't, you may want to check if you're actually a human.

There's no reason to get annoyed. If you show that you're annoyed with them, they might actually take it the wrong way and leave, and that's very harmful to the game. So please, just show me that you're more mature than them and be patient with them. Everyone starts off as a noob.

As for bragging, give the kids a break. They're only 10-11 years old, maybe younger.

It's wrong if I start bragging about how I "PWNed everybody at States", or how I "demolished an entire BR and went undefeated". That is bragging, and I know better than to do that. Little kids, on the other hand, don't know any better. They're probably just really excited about their accomplishment, and so they want to tell everybody about it; they want attention, basically. If you have a problem with their bragging, just tell them how you feel. Let them know that bragging isn't cool, and that you realize they did great but they need to stop rubbing it in. Kids understand older people, and I'm pretty sure they will listen if you take the time to talk to them.

Well it's not that hard for me to relate, since I was a 10 year old just 3 years ago when I started.
Personally, I love it when 7 or 8 year olds join up at the league.
It releases all the tension in games when you're playing someone with a starter deck who giggle to themselves whenever they get a stage 2 out.
Bragging is just... it's natural to brag. Everyone brags. It's a way of getting attention, as Pokechamp said.
Younger kids, even players my age, look up to the older people.

I don't show my annoyance.

I meant that I don't like the little kids who swarm the league and take up the short two hours I have to battle and enjoy myself by not knowing a thing about Pokemon except that you battle.

When I did start playing, I had a small amount of questions, all of those asked while I was battling. And before I started playing, My friends and I would battle to learn the rules better, as most people don't.
I read the rules many times to make sure that the deck I had was going to be allowed (The only thing I didn't know what about illegal cards, which were not mentioned in the rulebook)

The only 'problem' (very lightly used he aint all bad just young ) junior we have at our league is just 1 youngster who always moans about being pair against 'experts' to the judge, and every time we tell him that it done by the computer. we have another who keeps asking for bye's wtf ( what the fraggle) see above :O

the only problem I have with younger TCG players is that they tend to have a strop if they loose (causing me to feel guilty) or they brag about winning (just find it gets old fast)

Players are supposed to be the ones trying to find matches, not pairings are made for them. It will help younger players develope social skills since they may be shy at first. Also, if you beat them, maybe you can give suggestions on how they can improve their deck or teach them how to think ahead a few moves.

Yes, but the problem is that all of my decks are custom and suckish.
I play because it's fun. The kids are ruining my fun.

As long as there's cheating involved which one tried to do here, I don't see a problem. They hang out with other Juniors, its not like they hang around Seniors or Masters.

I will admit I do get annoyed with (mostly Juniors and maybe a few young Seniors), but the majority of them are cool. It's really just the ones that have ADD/ADHD and just like never stop talking or always want to trade or brag about their wins or whatever. But most of them are alright.

dmaster out.

For the record, Joey Nawal has cheated before, just ask Tofu's sister. He hid a Claydol behind his Batloy in his Speedrill deck.
