If you saw the trailer for the new games you may have seen a strange emphasis on vehicles. Do you think you can drive in them, or maybe it has something more-pokemon related
What Do You Think of the Vehicles We Saw in the Trailer?

After seeing Vermilion harbor's truck and no vehicle in Gold, with Sapphire's moving truck, I though we would see more vehicles but that didn't came to be until Isshu and even then, B2W2 gave us a van in Floccesy Town. That said, I like more country-like regions than urban ones.
Also, there isn't much need for riding vehicles when whe have the bike, Fly and Surf.
Regarding the vehicles showed, I hated the ambulance because it's so ridiculous with that Pokéball motif. Pokémon as a game is trully identified with a Pokéball but that doesn't need to be the case in-game. Now, if Game Corner was shut down due children and PEGI, then perhaps having truck with people riding on it's back with no seatbelts isn't all that safe, except for a gang.

You're right. But you may be able to use the vehicles to get to hard-to-reach areas or to heal your pokemon on the go, that's probably what the Ambulance is for.
It would be cool to see the protagonist driving in Sun and Moon, but I can't see any practical use for it.
Also it seems unlikely since the vehicles shown in the trailer are all used for specific tasks (ambulance, fire truck, pickup truck)
I'd have to say the vehicles are going to be more story based. For instance, a supporting character might be a fireman.
Or, they might just be one of the small details that make the Pokemon world more relatable in the upcoming games.
GF probably didn't intend to reveal anything big in the first trailer anyway haha
