Just that. Vote in the poll explain your answer.

I think Machamp will be BDIF because it beats SPs and with the new support of Machamp Prime, Seeker and twins it can legitimately beat other decks without losing consistency.

Wheres the Blazeray option? =(
I think Luxchomp cold still continue to do good but Machamp could be a problem. So im guessing one of those two.

I think Blazeray is going to do very good at cities this year. Especially in the MN metagame as I know it.

IDK about machamp, since a well teched SP deck can beat it. Like with drifblim, uxie X and lucario gl. That's only 3-4 spots that can make luxchomp or other SP's win.

Lostgar!!

Oh wait...

In all seriousness tho, the format is so diverse right now that I don't think there will be a clear cut BDIF. The two closest will be DialgaChomp and LadyGaga

^Don't ever call Luxchomp or DialgaLuxChomp Lady GaGa.
G-dos is going to rule, Resistance for Machamp, Fast Recovery,Fast Set-up, Rescue NRG,Seeker,Junk Arm.

I think Gyarados has a good chance of being BDIF if not a solid contender durring the CC period. It's amazing recovery makes godly.

Gyarados and Gaga are my top contenders for sure. So much support for the former and continued dominance of the latter.

dmaster out.

Yeah gyarados is another big one. IMO it can destroy a luxchomp if you play it smart and kill Gaga's lucario ASAP.

Vilegar is definitely not the BDIF right now. If you can get one turn of trainers, or regimove trainers out of your hand to move spiritomb it's not that hard to win.

I see no option for Machamp/Donphan Prime. What is this? That's a very powerful deck. I vote for that.

Everybody's own decks cannot be on the list. That is the "popular" list. If the list was full of anything people wanted, I wouldn't be surprised to see haymaker 2.0 on the list. Sturtle, I have not seen that deck work at all. If you made it work, GJ, but it isn't the metagame nor can it be the BDIF if it is the only version of itself in the format. My answer is a toss-up between Dialgachomp, gyarados, and luxchomp. I feel gyarados might come out on top just because of its newly found varsitility. It can play against EVERYTHING. Lux hurts it much less because of Rescue Energy. Dialga is as good as it has always been, and same goes for luxchomp.

I doubt vilegar will win as much as you guys think it will because decks like Gyarados just destroy it. If gyarados is popular (which it is), vilegar cannot win. Gyarados starts with Sableye more often than not... and unless their Regice is prized, they have a actual probabilty (#games won/#games) of about 70%. Gyarados discards its trainers happily... and unless there is a lot of bad fainting spells, gyarados will win.

Gengar is definitely NOT a good match up for gdos. Even with regice, it will only stay alive for so long. A smart gengar player will go for that first so that you get to discard maybe 2-4 trainers all while gdos has to ram gengar and hope for a tails on fainting spell.

^I'm assuming you're talking about VileGar. VileGar is just far too slow to beat Gyarados. By the time they start attacking Gyarados (like you said... post Regice kill), it'll be far too late. That's a game where a smart Dos player will bench a 2nd Dos. Normally, gar 3 shots Dos, and Dos 2 shots Gar. The ONLY thing to worry about is bad Fainting Spells, but by the time in the game where the gengar deck gets an attacker in play, it is far too late. The problem with that deck is that it takes too long to get vile and gar both in play. If they do gar first, you will get your trainers for a turn. If they go for Vile first, you will get a few free prizes. Either way, win win.

I think Vilegar is going to end up being the best at least in my area. At Battle Roads, the two biggest contenders in my area were Vilegar and Gigas variants, with the former going X-0. And before you ask about Gyarados - no one in my area runs it, because SPs and Luxray are everywhere.

In all honesty, the 'BDIF' is basically just going to be what fares best against the decks in your immediate area. There is no overall BDIF, because Deck A beats Deck B, which beats Deck C, which beats Deck D, which beats Deck A.

In my area, it's going to be Vilegar. That is my prediction.

I think Umbreon/Machamp will possible BDIF for Citys. It won't be played much, but for those who use it, it will do well. The only hard matchup is Gyarados, mostly everything else Machamp can Take Out or Umbreon can stop from attacking. Donphan/Machamp has potential too if the decklist is consistent and fast unlike mine.
