Pokemon What do you want for generation 6?

This thread is dedicated to the future pokemon of generation 6. Elaborate on your wants for it, your issues with what we have now, what you'd like to change etc.

Personally, I think Pokemon are tending to look more and more Digimon-like. I'd like that to stop to a certain level. The first couple of generations were charming because of their relative simplicity. It seems, especially with Legendary Pokemon, that they're gaining more armor and the like, and are looking more and more complex.

Also, the 5th generation seemed to have gotten incredibly lazy with naming, and many were way too goofy looking and based off of ridiculous things. (ice cream cones, candles...even though I do love Litwick and his evolutions). I want them to crack down and get a little more serious this time. No more Japanese-y sounding names either.

Oh, and don't overdo it with the Legendarys...it seems with every generation we get more and more sets of trios and other Legendarys. They didn't even feel special this last time around. (especially with how ridiculously stupid Thundurus/Tornadus/Landorus are).
 
Isn't it a little early for talk of Gen VI? I mean, it'll probably be out in a couple years...

I do agree with all the points you have made, though. We really need to go back to the way Kanto was. It was great, nice simple evolutions that still brought something new to the game. Now though, everything is really overwhelming and overdone.

I don't like that they added a ton of Pokemon. They're too hard to remember, and just taking ideas away from future Generations. We really didn't need a completely new set of Pokemon. They should have stuck to the formula that's been working for years and only added about 100 Pokemon. It's really just too much. Hopefully they'll change this Gen VI.

In fact, what I would really like to see in Gen VI is just a summation of the last five Generations - no new Pokemon, just the favorites from Kanto to Inova. It'd be neat to include some of the map from each region and a boat/plane/train that goes between them, much like in Gen II. Just a couple cities from each region, then an Elite 4 and Champion with one Elite 4 member from each region, and then the Champion from the remaining region. I guess it's too much to hope for, but that would be awesome.

Well, Scizor, you need to take into account that there were going to be no 1st through 4th gen Pokemon in BW until you beat the main game. I don't think 100 would have cut it.


On topic now;

- More familiar characters, whether they're somewhat important in the story (like gym leaders and elite 4 members) or simple cameos/same names (like Youngster Joey in Black and White). Or even throwbacks to familiar characters so that people who knew the ones in the past would get a kick out of seeing this new similar one.

- More than you being involved in the story. 4th and 5th gen (especially 5th gen) had more NPCs play a role in the story than the previous games. It was a nice touch in 4th gen, and 5th gen shot past my expectations when it came to who was involved.

- Some clones of already-existing attacks. I know that new generations are supposed to supply new things to enhance the experience, but at some point, there has to be a place where they get stumped. I'd like to see throwbacks to old moves or even clones of certain moves with different typing. tl:dr, MOAR PRIORITY

- A postgame story. Black and White had a lot of postgame content, but there wasn't much of it that contributed to the story. I'd like to see postgame content that contributes to the story (think Pokemon Colosseum and XD, if you've ever played those).

- Evolutions to things that need evolutions. I'm not talking about completely unnecessary ones like Unown, Girafarig, and Smeargle, but just things that look like they need an evolution. Like Jynx, for example; the Pokemon that it was next to in the Pokedex (Electabuzz, Magmar, Hitmons, Scyther, etc) got evolutions (or an alternate evolution in the case of the Hitmons). What did Jynx get? Just a pre-evolution.

No, that's what I mean - I wish it had been like prior games and included Pokemon of prior Generations and added only about 100 instead of revamping the entire thing.
 
Being able to carry 3 teams of 6 to swap them on hand would be nice. Just for handling a variety of battles and also you can have a tm of HM slaves. If that seems a bit much... then HMs need to stop being undeletable. I hate backtracking to the PC just for an HM slave, deposit him, and then only to need him again.
 
SEARCHABLE PC BOXES.

I don't care how horrible Gen 6 is if they allow you to search your pc box I'm getting it then movign all my stuff to that game. Seriously, when you have 600+ Pokemon, 30 in a box, how are you supposed to find anything without searchable stuff?
 
I want my dream Aveon eeveelution to be real :( I made it 5 years ago with my friends, its like super pale blue with a fluffy cloud as a mane and tail with little wings on its feet. I googled it as found out other ppl made a flying eeveelution too but mines sooo much cooler!!! I also made feather-like ears for it that get really big when its ready to fly :) I would like more animal-looking pokemon and no food or object pokemon :p Also thye need to have another cute reptile starter like in the other gens :D

also... most improtant... bring Misty back!!!!! :'(

OMG FIINNNAAAAALLLYYYYY SOMEONE ELSE ALSO THINKS THIS!!!! They need to have cute animal pokes!!!!! :p AMEN TO YOU!!! I love all the diamond and pearl legendaries but I have noticed a pattern with the 5th gen. I do love Zekrom, Kyurem, and Reshiram they kinda cooled the armor thing down a bit. Like, I love most of the new pokemon except the spiky looking ones or the ice cream pokemon X'D
 
Too soon. Wait for game 3 at least, geez.
 
Or just use the Future Game Speculation thread in 5th Gen...>_>
