Greetings! After stumbling upon videos of the TCG World Championships, I decided to attempt to take up the Trading Card Game once again. I haven't played in years, so I am very, very new to the format and current powerhouse decks. Can someone basically give me the run down on the current format and what you would recommend to a brand new player? Thanks!

I'd look around the Metagame Deck Discussion Forum; there are lots of articles about all of the most popular decks that people are playing at the moment complete with skeleton lists and discussion about particular card choices and deck match ups. I'd also refer you to this thread. There is a lot of useful information for new and returning players on how to get starting. Definitely a good read if you haven't done so already!
