DPPt/HGSS What is the Gold Glove for in the D/P/PL PC boxes?

What is the glove for? Is it for quicker moving? I actually just found this glove a couple of days ago and I have had D/P for 3 years and Platinum for about 10 months now and discovered the gold gove by mistake as my thumb slipped off the A button over onto the Y button and changed it from White to gold so was wondering what it is used for other than moving obtained data around? Thanks.:)
 
Basically when you hit A over a poke with the gold glove, you instantly pick it up instead of going into a submenu asking you what you want to do with it, same goes for putting it back in a box
 
I can't remember if it offers the same function in the 4th Generation games, but in FR/LG/E, the gold glove also let you move an entire box. By holding down A, you could highlight what you wanted. After letting go of A, an invisible rectangular field would pick up everything you highlighted. Taps to the left and right would not only move the Pokémon to the left and right, but also to different boxes.
 
Wow. So I could Pick up my Shiny Boxes and move then to another location? I could see if it still works in the 4th gen games. Thanks XD.:) EDIT: Does the hand have to be over the box top or inside the box to move the Pokemon? Thanks XD?:)
 
Inside the box, if I'm understanding your question. The hand stays in the box when moving multiple Pokemon; there's no option to go on top of it.
 
I figured out how you can move a whole box, you hold A on the right side of the box, then move the gold glove to the left of the box. All the pokemon should have a red glow on them. Finally, release A and you'll pick up the box of pokemon! Hope I helped!
 
Yeah I figured that out yesterday. I never knew that. I rearranged my Pearl in lik 30 minutes my Platinum in 10 minutes and it sure beats the one by one method. Thanks guys. I had been wondering for the longest time on how to move Pokemon areound without doing one by one. Also if you have a full cart is there a way to pickup another box and switch all the Pokemon in another box and place where the original Pokemon were? Thanks.:)
 
^No you would have to highlight all pokemon then drag them all into an empty box.
 
I wondered about that. How do I use it to move items XD Can it move 30 items at once or only 1 item at a time? Thanks.:)
 
Oh ok. What does it do in Compare Pokemon mode or any other mode?:)
 
^Compare mode you must and can only pick one individual item only one at a time.Other modes I am not quite certain if there are others.
 
The modes where you can use the gold Glove are Move Pokemon Move items Compare Pokemon and I am not sure about deposit and Widraw modes though.:)
 
^Sorry,you would have to quit both of those mode and enter the move item tab.Unless you withdraw a poke and then take the item away.
