To me, this card does not make sense and just seems like a wasted card. Thanks.
What is the point of Ditto?

The point is that, after it's been out a turn, you can drop a weak evolving basic onto it and immediately evolve it. You can also use it in toolbox decks. If I put 3 prism on a Ditto, you have absolutely no idea what I could hit you with to respond to a KO. It could be a Terrakion, a Darkrai, or whatever the situation calls for. It's a very hard card to use, and it's very skill based, but it can be quite useful in the right deck.
Ditto is a great card, it just has trouble fitting into decks. Puff hit the nail on the head though. A ditto with energy on it can be a very scary thing
Also, it can help you start out with the correct Pokémon Active while conserving your Switch and/or Escape Rope cards, if you can find the Deck space for it, of course. It can also help prevent mulligans/ getting in danger of an opposing Donk.
