What would you do?

One day, I went to school and lost my book. A very important book, indeed. My parents said I've been grounded from buying cards for 3 months. What! That's the most shocking thing I've ever heard!! What would you do????

... Ooookay. Well, it is you're parents' discipline so you should accept it, so I really don't think posting on forums will help too much. Any chance you'll find that book? Were you buying cards with your own money anyways? Maybe in a month your punishment will be lifted... but I'm in no position to say anything. In fact, I dunno why I'm posting here >_>;;

I got grounded from buying cards once for like 6 months (I didn't get excellent in German, only very good). I went through my cards 20 times and then - FLASH - I got a new deck idea. I think it helped me. just wait and enjoy your cards. plus, you are allowed to trade, right?

Honestly, why would you buy a gun and kill yourself? You would be insane then. Also,why would you wanna die?If you're grounded for 3 months, just wait, anyway you can save your $ for Power Keepers. Now, it's not the most shocking thing I've ever heard... >.< It's normal for me... I don't mean the grounded part, I mean the not buying cards for [insert number here] months. I don't usually buy cards... I trade more often. And why would you kill yourself? That way you can't buy cards forever!!

I really don't think anyone will get anywhere further than no 2 unless it isn't for laughs...I've had this done before, I don't really mind, though it is my money. I get over things pretty quick.

Just busy yourself with other things. 3 months is not too bad. It could have been worse. Although that is quite bad timing seeing as power keepers comes out soon. Try and do some trades instead. Try to act responsibly and don't start shouting at your parents. If they see you are being grown up about it then they will be more likely to shorten the ban.

I haven't been grounded by my parents from buying cards. I never even need to use a single money to build a deck. If you have any new deck idea, proxy some cards first. If you would like to enter a tournament with certain cards, ask someone to lend you those cards. I did this as soon as there were some new idea hatch in my brain.

maybe during that grounded "season", you should appreciate your old cards & save money. then once you have been released, use the money to buy a lot of booster packs IF you want to.... :)

sorry, but I live in Thailand, and I don't want waste money just to the USA and participate in the pre-release. Can you tell me where other places in Asia that have pre-release of PK?

1. Killing yourself over cards is really stupid and if you evenwould consider that you probably have no friends or even a life outside of cards.

2. I'd probably try to deal with my parents... I doubt that they'd keep that punishment for that long unless you did something really stupid.
And even if they dont deal with you, then all you can do is wait. Just trade for cards that you'd need during that time....

Now that you are grounded, just wait. Hey, I mean, the more you wait, the better cards will come out. Now you will be able to not take your cards for granted. You could also save your money during this time, and even buy the Power Keepers cards when they come out.... better yet, buy Diamond and Pearl! But you know what truly matters, is that your parents are doing that for your own good, and did that so you won't forget the next time you do something....

Aren't prereleases specified to different countries? You could go to the Aus prerelease...

sorry, i didn't know you live n Thailand....
well, Malaysia usually(only some places, i think :)) have pre-release tournaments....

Each person deals with situations differently. Your parents simply targeted your weakness and won. I'm not going to give tips on how to use reverse psychology to your advantage in a situation like this, but you don't need to get so upset. And also try not to type an entire topic title in capitals.
