What To Do With Yveltal Post Roaring Skies?

friend just got a line of yveltals (ex and normal) and as far as i understood yveltal was a huge part of the metagame for quite some time. My question is it still being used even without dark patch? If so which variants apart from seismitoad stands out? And does yveltal have any sort of synergy with newer cards? I just want to get a better understanding of yveltal before i tell my friend uses quite a lot cash on the deck.

Yveltal has a large selection of decks he can fit into himself. Doing some scooping online, I'm sure you can find a lot of different deck lists with him. M Manetric EX is good for energy acceleration for an Yveltal deck. There's also Yveltal as a strong back up attacker in other decks that use dark energy and Pokemon. There's quite a bit of room to be creative with how you use Yveltal EX, just depends on if you want to play him as a main attacker or a secondary one.
